Hi my name is Jemma Richards & i have always had a passion for pets. Every clients dog or cat soon becomes part of my family. I treat all pets with the respect they deserve & pamper them while they are in my care. You're probably wondering why I decided to start my business, well that's an interesting story . Animals have always been comfortable around me. For example, when I was 16, I asked for work experience at the local Dog Boarding Kennels. A black cat lived at the kennels. When I went over to pat the cat, the owner was shocked. Normally that cat would not let a stranger go near her! . A few years prior to that, I was looking after a chihuahua. This little dog was a rescue dog who rarely left it's bed. Everytime anyone approached, the dog would growl and bite so the family didn't interact with him much. Within the week, I was able to hug and pet him, play with him and take him for walks. When the owners came to collect him 3 weeks later, they were amazed. They had tried many different methods to interact with their dog but all had failed - but after 3 weeks with me, the dog was sociable and friendly. These experiences made it clear to me that my future was in helping pets and working with animals. Jemma's Pampered Pets offer dog and cat grooming. Yes, cat grooming! They're not as hard to do as everyone thinks. Also pet minding during the day and short term boarding for cats/ dogs (not accepting anymore boarding pets at the moment) and small pets such as birds or rats.
