Equine Centre, Charles Sturt University Equine Centre - Wagga Wagga's own regional Equestrian Facility, home to the Riverina Equestrian Asso

The Charles Sturt University Equine Centre is an outstanding facility for horse-loving students and members of the regional community. Located adjacent to the Veterinary Clinical Centre on Agriculture Avenue, it is just a short walk from the main campus of CSU at Wagga Wagga. The Centre is one of the excellent facilities of Charles Sturt University and provides facilities for teaching its courses

in Equine Science, Veterinary Science, Animal Science and Veterinary Technology. CSU students are able to agist their horses at the Centre at affordable rates and make full use of the Centre, creating a vibrant and interesting community of like-minded young equestrians. In conjunction with the Wagga Wagga City Council and Riverina Equestrian Association there have been some major upgrades to the facilities. The first stage has recently been opened and includes:

- A 3000 square metre indoor arena
- 20 stables
- 70x90m all weather rubber ingrained sand arena
- 60x20m permanent dressage arena (also rubber ingrained).
- A 60x30m enclosed warm up arena has also been installed adjacent to the indoor arena
- An amenities block including showers, toilets, canteen and office near the stables that allows people camping at the facilities to easily access the bathroom facilities.
- All arenas have irrigation facilities. The facilities of the Equine Centre can be hired for use by individuals or clubs for approved equine activities. Members of the public may hire the facilities at the Equine Centre under the following conditions:

- Proof must be shown to the Equine Centre Manager of current financial membership of an equestrian society which provides personal accident insurance in the event of injury incurred while riding at the Equine Centre (eg. Equestrian Australia).
- The Equine Centre Manager will provide such persons with an induction of the facilities
- Use of the facilities must be booked through the Equine Centre Office. To make a facility booking you must complete the Facility Booking Form which can be found at the following link;
