If you have room in your heart and your home, please consider this precious soul. She maybe 11 but Maltese live for a very long time. We lost our own sweet baby girl in December of last year and she was 17. Gorgeous Lily has plenty of love still yet to give and receive.

Meet Lewis – the gentle soul with a heart as big as his comeback story.

Lewis has been on quite the journey. After arriving in care in rough shape, this sweet boy has undergone an incredible medical transformation and won a lot of hearts along the way. From staff to volunteers to his foster carers, everyone who's met Lewis agrees: he’s something special.

Lewis is social and curious around other dogs, and doesn't mind seeing them out on walks, but needs more training before living with them. His expressive face can make his greetings a little enthusiastic, but it's all part of his charm and easily guided with gentle handling. He’s not the type to demand constant attention, but he’s always close by when you need a friend.

He’s shown minimal signs of separation stress, suggesting he’ll be okay being left alone for short periods, and with the right introductions and supervision, he may even do well living with a cat or small animals.

Lewis is more than just a medical success story, he’s a calm, kind, and loving boy who’s ready for the next chapter of his life. He’s come so far, and now he’s just waiting for a family to see him for who he truly is: a gentle companion with a whole lot of love to give.

In Argentina, there's a restaurant called Restobar Dickens, with a sign saying: "We kindly ask all our customers, from the bottom of our hearts, not to be upset by the number of stray dogs that may be inside the restaurant. We are a pet-friendly place and we provide water, food, and a lot of love to these sweet angels. We apologize if it’s difficult, but they aren’t doing anything wrong; they’re just looking for food or shelter. Thank you very much!"

They are also helping stray dogs find their forever homes. 🙏🙏

💙 Meet Cookie, a Gentle Soul, Loyal Companion (Approx. 13 Years Old)
🩵Cookie is a sweet, affectionate boy who’s been through a lot. After his beloved owner was hospitalised and sadly passed away, Cookie stayed in the home with family visiting twice daily. He’s been deeply loved, and it shows in his gentle nature and friendly spirit. Cookie currently weighs 21kgs, having had little exercise he gained a kilo or two.
❤️What Cookie Loves:
Hanging out with other gentle dogs (or being your one-and-only if you're home often)
• Watching the world go by from the window
• Helping in the garden (he’s a great supervisor!)
• Greeting neighbours on walks
• Food and snacks, he enjoys kibble with a bit of meat and veg
• Tapping your arm or chair for pats (his signature move!)
Cookie is housetrained, walks beautifully on lead, and will let you know when he needs to go out. A single-level home would suit him best as he gets older.
🩺 Health & Care:
• Recently had a dental and is feeling great
• Has a few harmless warts and bumps — just something to keep an eye on
• Slightly short-sighted now, but still hears well and is very obedient
• On Cartrophen injections for arthritis and happily does 30-minute walks
• Lives peacefully with three small dogs
• Not tested with cats — as a terrier cross, he may not be suitable
Cookie doesn’t bark when left alone, but he’ll alert you if a stranger or tradie is around. He’s a loyal little watchdog with a heart of gold.
