‼️UPDATE‼️

We have now been informed by the primary microchip company that they are not able to do this as they first advised us in an email last week.

At this time all of your digital data you provided will be held by SPARQ securely until we have an outcome.

Unfortunately everyone has to wait for the outcome of the sale of the company 😞 including rescue groups.

‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️

You may have heard that Home Safe microchips have vanished.
They have gone into receivership.

At this time - there is no way to retrieve details therefore if your animal is registered and they are lost or stolen, there is no one to help you.
(Logins for shelters, vets and councils have been disabled)

The phone number is disconnected and emails are bouncing back as undelivered.

We are taking a necessary step to help anyone with pets registered to them to assist you to obtain registration with an alternative company.

This will ensure that your pet is safe and the microchip will be searchable to vets and councils.

The following form is a very quick one to help you.

We may need to make changes on the fly but we encourage you to check your pet’s microchip urgently.

URGENTLY NEEDED, PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN

🚨🚨URGENT FOSTER HOME NEEDED🚨🚨

We need a foster home for daisy by tomorrow.

We’ve been looking, but no success.

Daisy is a very special dog of ours. She’s been with us since she was 14 weeks old.
She has a condition called bilateral ectopic ureter which basically means she has trouble holding her urine in.

She’s had one round of surgeries and is set to have another in the new year with the specialist vet.

Until then we need a new foster family to look after her!

She is happy outside most of the time, gets along with other dogs and kids and is ok with cats.

If she’s inside she will need to wear dog nappies until her surgery and she needs her bottom washed daily to stop any infection.

Other than that she’s a very happy girl and you will love looking after her.

Please click the link below and in the comment section of the form type “DAISY”

Please be careful!

Yesterday afternoon Cookie was outside exploring the backyard, as she does, her dinner was being prepared and when ready she was called inside. No one noticed anything unusual about her entrance into the house until after she started eating, when someone rounded the corner and saw a strange thing on the floor. Upon closer inspection it was clear it was a half eaten rat. While Cookie looked fine, her owners ran around asking neighbours if they had left out baits for mice/rats and found they had.

They rushed Cookie to AES and she was given meds to empty her stomach. They were onto it within 35-40 minutes which made for a much better outcome.

They were LUCKY, Cookie had brought the half eaten evidence inside so her owners could be onto it immediately. This obviously won’t always be the case. Some will eat all of the evidence, others will leave it in the backyard and another animal (bird) may grab it. This means your pets could get sick and you will have no idea what is wrong or what has caused it.

Be vigilant. Check your pets’ areas. If you have a rodent problem, use other means to deal with it. If you choose to use bait, alert your neighbours so they can be more cautious when their pets are outside.

ADOPTION SPOTLIGHT - Ozzy

We can't believe it! We are still trying to find a home for this gorgeous boy. Ozzy is a stunning cat who is a bit shy but loves his pets. He loves to talk and will chirp and purr at you, revving his motor when he's happy. Ozzy is a lovely boy who probably needs a quiet home as he does like to hide when it's noisy. He's been living with other cats but would probably prefer a home where he is the only cat and the star of the show. If you have an existing cat that is friendly or disinterested in other pets and are interested in meeting Ozzy, have a chat to his lovely foster carer to find out more.

Hello, My name is Madras!

I was really timid and scared of people, so they gave me a crate to feel safe in. My foster siblings let me have some time to get use to them and then they taught me how to play like a dog. I wasn't sure what to do but now I love them and play with them.

My foster carers have lots of different animals. They have pocket pets, cats, chooks and horses, I'm completely not interested in them. The cats are a little scary, so I kind of stay out of their way. I've also made friends with their pig. I do still give her a wide berth.... She's huge! The horses that I get to watch from afar.

Over the past 3 weeks with them, I've really come out of my shell. I'm such a happy boy. I'm mostly toilet trained but I have had a couple of accidents in the house, but I'm trying really hard. I'm still very scared of the lead and would love someone to teach me how to walk on lead.

I'd be happy with a retired couple or single, who want to spoil me rotten or a family with older kids who also have another quiet dog.
