We’re off on an adventure! ✨

Animal Axis will be closing our doors in the South East QLD region as we’ve decided to move away from the Gold Coast in search of somewhere cooler and quieter.

We’ll be travelling south to find a new place to call home — somewhere with more space for the dogs to roam! Once we’ve settled in, Animal Axis will be back up and running from our new base.

I’ve got so many new and exciting ideas for what’s next, and I can’t wait to bring them to life once we’re settled. So keep an eye on this page for updates along the way!

A huge, heartfelt thank you to all my wonderful clients across South East Queensland who’ve let me be part of their dogs’ journeys. You’ve all been amazing, and I’ll miss you all! 🌟🐾

Fantastic webinar on "Rethinking Heat Injury in Working Dogs" — a must-watch for all working dog owners, and really valuable for any dog owner!

Our webinar Rethinking Heat Injury in Working Dogs has passed 5000 views! That’s 5000 people who are better trained on prevention and treatment if working dogs. How many dogs have been saved because if this training? We don’t know, but it’s probably a lot!

We had a busy but fantastic week in Dirranbandi at the 2025 National Kelpie Field Trial & Australian Yard Dog Championships. So many great handlers and dogs to watch, and it was lovely meeting new people, treating some wonderful dogs, and catching up with familiar faces 😊.

Ted had a run in the Maiden (where we lost two sheep over the fence!) and then the Encourager, but we ran short on time. Maya, the old girl, trotted happily after the sheep in the Encourager, but they were just too quick for her—bless!

Both dogs gave it their best and, most importantly, had fun. Considering both are city dogs (atm) with limited time on sheep recently, it was great just to see them take part. They might not have been very competitive, but we really enjoyed ourselves nonetheless!!! 😊 Big congratulations to all who took part and to the well-deserved placegetters!

New Arrival - Stanley Dog Coat 🐕

The standard cover in a new design to fit dogs with low tail set. The blanket is extra long to cover the tail and keep the rear of the dog warm.

"Stanley" is a well-shaped quilt with a comfortable fit around the chest that gives room for the movements of the front legs. A light filling and an inner lining with Welltex® keep the dog warm and comfortable in all weather.

The technology reflects the dog's body heat as infrared energy (FIR), and can thus contribute to good mobility in muscles and joints. The inner lining is woven to avoid fur getting caught in the fabric.

The blanket has a water-repellent and wind-repellent surface with taped seams. It is easy to put on and fastens with an adjustable buckle on the back. The lacing at the front and the drawstring at the neck make it easy to adjust the opening for the head and neck. Velcro fasteners on the sides ensure that the cover stays firmly in place and does not twist. Removable, elastic leg cords can be attached when you want the blanket to lie more against the back legs. At the collar there is an opening for attaching the leash to the dog's collar.

Reflective details make the blanket visible from all angles and provide extra safety during the evening walk.

FIT
Stanley is designed for a normal to more athletic type of dog. If the dog is more heavily built around the chest and neck, choose a size larger for the best fit.
