💕 Miss Layla 🐐
She isn't like our usual patience. She has hoofs and horns, not paws or claws.
Layla is a 15 week old goat who was born a little different to the other kids.
She has a neuromuscular condition where her legs just dont work the way they should, and she has a lot of difficulty walking on her own.
She has a dedicated foster family, who is giving her every fighting chance at a normal life. @parkys_park_hobby_farm
She is improving each week in the underwater treadmill and slowly gaining her strength.

Poor Streety had not 1 but 2 TPLO surgeries performed on the same day.
TPLO is a type of surgery performed to treat a rupture in the cranial cruiate ligament.
This is a very common injury in dogs.
With some home exercise and weekly hydrotherapy to rebuild her strength, Streety is back to her old self again.

💥 Cleaning Fee 💥
You may wonder why in our terms and conditions we have a cleaning fee if your dog has an accident 💩 in the water.
💦 All the water must be "dumped." This means getting rid of all the 💩💩 water from the tank.
💦 Disinfecting everything the water has touched.
💦 This means cancelling all appointments that are to follow. If we don't have clients, we dont get paid.
💦 You may think, oh, that's not too bad everything is now cleaned. I don't mind my dog rolls in 💩 at the park.
💦 It then takes about 1 hour to refill the tank, and depending on the weather, about 8 hours for the water to heat back up again.
We understand that sometimes accidents happen and they can not be helped.
I just wanted to explain why we have this policy.
As I sit all alone at 7:30pm topping up my water so tomorrows pups have enough water for their session as it has enough time to reheat overnight.

IVDD is such a tough and heartbreaking journey.
But it's the little wins that keep us going and show us there is light at the end of the tunnel.

💫 Aria 💫
Arias journey.
Aria is a lovely 9 year old Rottie x Lab.
She was feeling a little bit off on a Wednesday, and by the Friday, she was completely unable to walk at all on her hind legs.
Her parents took her straight to the vets, where she was diagnosed with IVDD Intervertebral disc disease, and needed surgery to relieve the pressure on her spinal cord.
10 weeks of hydrotherapy and lots of dedication from her owners, she is now able to support her own body weight and walk with a lot more confidence.

Remember, little miss McKenna?!
She broke her leg from crazy puppy shenanigans.
Several weeks of crate rest and having a cast on, she had muscle wastage and had lost strength in that leg.
Hydrotherapy gave her the confidence to walk on it again and rebuild her strength.
Not every dog loves water, and not every dog loves treats. So it can be challenging, but knowing what motivates a dog allows me to make their journey a little less stressful.
McKenna didn't like the water, and she did not want any treats, but she is a very affectionate puppy, so she would walk for snuggles 🥹💞🐕
