🌻 🌱 on Sunflower Microgreens this weekend! If you bring your own container, we will give you the equivalent of our large pack for $5 until sold out. We will still give you a discount for the ones packaged in our containers, $7, normally $11. At both Palm Beach Farmers Markets and Hota Markets, until sold out.

They are crunchy and slightly sweet, nutty tasting. A great addition to any salad. I have been sampling today (quality control 😋 ) and they are delicious!

Not only do they taste great, they are full of nutritional benefits too.

Sunflower Sprouts are high in protein and a rich source of vitamins A, B complex, D, and E and minerals including calcium, copper, iron, magnesium, potassium, phosphorus and zinc.They also contain healthy fats, essential fatty acids, fibre, and phytosterols.

Sunflower sprouts are high in B vitamins, especially folate: Folate (or folic acid) is a necessary B vitamin for pregnant women, needed to ensure proper development of baby’s nervous system. The combination of B vitamins also assists in the mother’s circulation as well as aids in stress relief.

We can’t stop eating Broccoli Microgreens here!!! I love the flavour and they go with EVERYTHING! And I can’t stop thinking about the health benefits and what they is doing for my body and health, every time I eat another handful.

And we want to get the word out there, so that everyone knows about the health benefits.

Did you know that Broccoli Microgreens contain 10-100 times more Sulforaphane than the mature plant? Sulforaphane has been shown, in many studies, to have cancer chemoprotective properties. This means that it protects cancer patients, healthy tissues when taking cancer fighting medication. I will put the link to one of these studies, below. But you can search for many more as these have been conducted since the 1990’s.

Broccoli-based glucoraphanin/sulforaphane-rich preparations have been shown to accelerate the detoxication and excretion of potentially carcinogenetic food contaminants and air pollutants, offering a very attractive strategy for population-wide reduction in cancer risk due to unavoidable exposures to pollution.

Today’s farmer’s surprise Microgreen is Kohlrabi
This is one of our favourites. Check out the beautiful purple colour of the stems.

Kohlrabi microgreens have antioxidants, fibre, Vitamins A,C, and B-complex, calcium, potassium and copper. That's all the immune-building, energy-pumping, bone-strengthening good stuff.

So happy that we are getting nutrient dense food out to those who really need it and wouldn’t otherwise have it.

We haven’t shared this too much, as we wanted to wait until we were regularly making a difference. We are selling Microgreens to fund projects of Nature of Giving Foundation. And one of our first goals is to get nutrient dense food out to everyone. Meeting beautiful human beings who are doing amazing things! Collaboration is the best.

If you or someone you know is doing it tough at the moment, please look up The MOVEMENT Gold Coast (it won’t let me tag) or From My Pantry To Yours. They are helping those who are doing it a bit tough at the moment, with food hampers and cooked meals too.
