🩶Dexta🩶 You can never truly prepare yourself when saying goodbye to a loved one and a beloved pet is no exception. Dexta was a much loved member of our family for over 15 years. It is hard to find the right words to honor his passing and express just how much Peaceful Paws helped with that.
When we realised it was time to say goodbye we chose Dr Emily. She was available over the Christmas period and showed nothing but empathy and care, right from the very first tearful call, thru to his passing. And her care did not stop there, with follow up emails and helpful resources for grieving. She really does care. The whole experience was not only calming and peaceful for Dexta but for us also. It helped make the grieving process just that little bit easier knowing he was surrounded by love and care in his own home. Thank you Dr Emily. I highly recommend Peaceful Paws.

Ralph 💚💚 We had to say goodbye to our sweet boy Ralph in November. His limp turned out to be a very aggressive osteosarcoma and we felt so devastated with the decision we had to make. Dr Emily was so warm and professional and really put us at ease. She came at very short notice and explained the process and what to expect. Ralph was always nervous at the vet, so seeing him relaxed and comfortable on his own bed at home with us in his final moments was so comforting. Thank you for your compassion Dr Emily, it can’t be easy to do what you do. We are so thankful Ralph’s last day with us went the way it did. It has given us a lot of peace when the grief of losing him has overwhelmed us

🩵Boston🩵
Saying goodbye to our beautiful boy Boston, was one of the hardest moments of our lives but Dr Emily’s warmth, compassion, and gentle presence made all the difference.

From the moment she walked into our home, Emily brought a calm and comforting energy. She was so patient with us and allowed us the space to process what was happening at our own pace, her kindness extended not just to Boston, but to all of us, as she guided us through the process, making special opportunities for our kids to say their goodbyes and create special memories with Boston.

Emily’s professionalism shone through in every detail, she coordinated seamlessly with Pet Angel, handling all the arrangements which allowed us focus entirely on saying goodbye to Boston.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being there for us and for Boston - we are forever grateful 🐾

💞Phoenix💞 We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to Dr Emily for the compassionate care she provided during one of the most difficult moments of our lives. Saying goodbye to Phoenix was incredibly hard, but her kindness, empathy, and professionalism made the process so much more bearable.

Dr Emily took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all our questions with patience, and treated Phoenix with the utmost respect and dignity. Dr Emily’s gentle demeanour and genuine understanding brought comfort during such a painful time.

It was clear how much she cared about her patients and their families. We will always be grateful for the way you helped Phoenix pass peacefully and for supporting us through this experience.

✨Brontë✨ I cannot thank Emily enough for the kindness and compassion she showed when faced with the hardest decision to put our beautiful girl Bronte to sleep. Even though I miss her every day, her final moments were so peaceful and precious.

💗Fifi💗 Dr Emily, thank you for taking the time to explain the process of saying good bye to our Fifi. A lot of friends had told me prior, take your time and say goodbye at your own pace. On the day our pace was probably quicker than others as we didn’t want Fifi in any pain due to her cancer.. so thank you for going at our pace Emily. Thank you also for replying to me when I had remorse and follow up questions days later, you really were a source of comfort in a very trying time. Would highly recommend your services.

🧡Foo Foo🧡 Dr Emily could not have been more caring, empathetic and professional when it was time to say goodbye to our beloved girl FooFoo.

We felt so blessed to have Emily come to our home.
She was interested in Foo’s life and walked us through every step of the process.
We never felt rushed, nor silly for crying.
We all sat together (even the dogs) in the comfort of our lounge room, and surrounded Foo with the love she always knew.

“Bat 'baby season' has begun, during which time these little ones are hanging on to their mum as she forages for food and nectar. If you spot an injured bat or baby alone please contact us at 0488 228 134 - we offer a 24/7 rescue hotline and will send a trained and vaccinated volunteer. Babies can also survive on deceased mothers on powerlines, so please alert us if you see one!

We rescue and rehabilitate hundreds of baby bats annually when their mothers die due to dog/cat attacks, electrocution, car strikes, or other hazards. I realise not everyone is a fan, but these are intelligent, sweet, and social native animals that deserve a chance at life (and keep Brisbane beautiful by pollinating trees!)

While a small percentage of bats may carry infectious diseases there is NO risk if you don't touch them, so please leave that to us!”

💚Elektra💚 Emily was very professional and compassionate when assisting me in saying goodbye to Elektra. I am grateful in her flexibility in being able to attend my home earlier than scheduled when Elektra’s health deteriorated quicker than I expected. I would recommend Peaceful Paws Vet for anyone needing to say goodbye to their beloved pets and allow them to go peacefully at home without the stress of a vet visit.

🧡Oscar🧡 When our beautiful cat, Oscar told us he was ready to go, we wanted to help him at home surrounded by the people who loved him. Emily, came at short notice and explained the process to us. She listened as we cried and told her about our beautiful feline loved one. When it was time, he took himself onto a mat in front of the fire. He didn’t flinch as she sedated him and the process was as quick and humane as is possible. She was kind, empathetic and provides a professional service. I was so glad to be able to do this for Oscar at home and not in a vet surgery. Thank you Emily. 5 🌟

Saying goodbye to Butch was the hardest thing I’ve had to do and I just miss him so so much, he’s certainly taken a huge part of my heart with him because I can feel the emptiness in my chest since he’s been gone from our lives. I’m at ease with how peacefully he went and how pleasant you made this experience for him and us.. especially considering he’s usually such a nervous dog and he was the complete opposite around you. Thank you for also loving on him, patting him and having a huge heart.. it did not go unnoticed and I can tell that it’s not just a job to you and you genuinely care, this meant the world to me. It’s been a very hard weekend accepting the fact that he’s gone after having him in my life for 13 beautiful years but I’m trying to focus on the positives and the last being how much he enjoyed that jam and cream bun as his final treat. Dogs certainly do leave paw prints on our hearts.

🌷Jess🌷 We again had Emily attend our home to assist our beloved Jess to pass peacefully at home with her loving family surrounding her. As with Jack’s passing last year, Emily was patient, kind and empathetic before, during and after the process. Emily’s reassurance and kindness shown towards both our beloved Jess and our family, made an extremely difficult decision and emotional time just that little bit easier.

🌸Jensen🌸 While this is the hardest decision, you need to always consider doing the right thing for the dog. It definitely isn’t easy, but Dr Emily made this process peaceful with her professional, compassionate and caring manner. She made sure Jensen was comfortable and relaxed, and gave us all the time to say our goodbyes and be with him until the end. Emily was never in a hurry and was happy to stay for as long as we needed her. From the minute she walked in the door, she showed great kindness and concern for all, especially Mr Jensen.

My lean bean giant Wolfhound mix unwanted rescue boy was very unique, and received many comments everywhere he went. He was always a very social boy with people, as well as all kinds of dogs. He loved sitting on the park bench waiting for his buddies to turn up at the local dog park. He was almost 10 when he crossed that rainbow bridge and I am so much better for having him for the 9.5 years he was with me.

I highly recommend Dr Emily at Peaceful Paws for the right kind of goodbye.

☀️Sonny☀️ I first saw Sonny in a trading post ad. I was just going to ‘have a look’. Both times that I visited, Sonny was the first pup out to greet me, I didn’t have to choose which pup as he chose me, there was no doubt in my mind that he was put on this earth for me to love.
We did everything together, he came everywhere with me. He was my home for so many years, as long as Sonny Boy was by my side, everything would be okay.
I was lucky enough to get close to 16 years with my shadow. The decision to say our goodbyes was by far the most hardest decision I have ever had to make. We spent his last day together at the beach, he had a cheeseburger like the old days, we cuddled and just watched the world go by.
Emily made herself available to come by our home and help transition Sonny to the rainbow bridge. Never have I felt such heartache however knowing he was in the comfort of his own home made it that tiny bit easier and for this I’m so grateful for.
Until we meet again my sweet baby boy 🐾

💛Mako💛 Dr Emily helped me with Mako yesterday. Even though I’m still grieving and will for awhile. I can see how pure her compassion was and how she respects everyone’s journey. Mako was my support dog for 14yrs and the one thing I feel certain of after Dr Emily was that helping your best friend when they are not well is the strongest thing a owner can do.

I got to be as close as possible to my boy. Nose to nose cheek to cheek giving him so many kisses so he could hear me and feel me when getting his pet angels wings.

Thankyou from NYX and myself and syrus the cat (and mum).

The timing of the Aftercare can be arranged for you through Pet Angel Funerals. We have used pet angels before but didn’t know how or what to do for home vet care. So one call and Dr Emily was able to contact Niel from pet angels for us so we didn’t have to make two calls. This helped so much.
