Number 13 done for the week! The loviest little legend Elfie himself! This bitty pony takes me twice as long to do as a big horse! He will certainly be feeling much lighter after his clip!

We were discussing if there was some textile artists that could use his hair for crafting. It was a good two to three inches long, in addition we hogged his triple thick mane too!

Summer is here in full swing and with it the absolutely horrendous heat and especially bad humidity. This is exactly the type of weather that a lot of horses really struggle with. Is your horse: Heavy coated? Suffering from cushings? Puffing to keep cool? Not sweating enough or worse yet, affected by anhydrosis?

I have trips scheduled for in Tallebudgera, Innisplain/Beaudesert, Brisbane west/Brookfield and points in between. I will also have weekend availability. Send me a pm to book in.

Today was the best!
Three amigos all clipped to perfection with Heiniger Equine - Australia & New Zealand Heiniger
These lucky donkeys live in an area currently experiencing a surge in paralysis ticks. Smaller donkies/ponies/foals are much more susceptible to severe illness or fatal reactions from tick bites - so a clip will not only make them easier for their owner to check for ticks, but will also keep them much more comfortable in the rising summer temperatures!

A new pony for the stable! I’ve been clipping with nothing but Heiniger clippers for more than decade for a reason, they stand the test of time. My old saphirs are more than 8 years old now and work just fine (yes, even the batteries still hold plenty of charge!) but I decided to treat myself to set. Let’s see what’s inside! It seems like an important time to share this again. Someone in my neighbourhood lost a pony weanling the other day to paralysis ticks. I clipped another pony agisted at the same property (different owner) about a week previously and found a few ticks on it. The tick population is surging right now- they are more common on horses than you may realise! Even attentive horse owners are surprised when I find them clipping. They often hide in difficult to see spots! Between legs, under and in tails/manes, in the gential areas etc, and are unfortunately very small and hard to detect especially in long coats!! You may want to ask your vet about using bayticol insecticide spray to help protect your horses!

I seem to have been able to recover my account access. I was hacked while traveling in Asia and lost all ability to access any messages associated with this account or my personal page. It’s been so stressful not having any access to all the names, addresses, phone numbers and details of everyone. I never realised how much I rely on this page for contacts.
