The Doggie Face of Q 2025 calendar is out now! Pick one up at the two stations, opposite Coles and by Aldi. A gold coin donation is very much appreciated and all the funds will go to Story Dogs. The money raised will go towards getting Story Dogs in to local schools.

1. This Person using multiple names is scamming people ( Has hacked their friends FB and it seemed like it was them and GENUINE)
2. However seems that he/she is hacking multiple peoples accounts and is assuring everyone and GENUINELY assuring its the correct person..
3. They are using the following PAY ID details so BE AWARE and that is when it becomes apparent its a SCAM..
4. Seems like he/she whoever it is has been doing this for months and getting away with it , its all over google and scam watch Australia groups
5.. Can I suggest if anyone you know is selling something and requesting money to RING THEM and verify its actually them.
6., DON"T BOTHER coming on here to lecture the victims they took all precautions and thought they were genuinely transferring the money to their friends.

DETAILS UP TO DATE? Have you had the chip rescanned recently to ensure it is still working. we recommend having the chip checked on your annual vet visit. chips can also move from original position.

❌Have you just adopted a new pet from a breeder, a shelter, or a give away. It should have a microchip - have you got paperwork to transfer details to your name?
***It is your responsibility to make sure these records are kept up to date.*** If your new pet becomes lost, vets and pounds can only contact the number on the microchip record❌

MICROCHIPPING INFORMATION
All dogs and cats born after 10 April 2009 must be microchipped before they are sold or given away. All regulated dogs must be microchipped regardless of when they were born.

The message below was sent out by AWL and every cat owner should take a moment to read it.

The vac shortage from several months ago has left a lot of animals unprotected and an outbreak like we have not seen in QLD in many years is hitting and hitting hard.

From AWL -

🚨 Urgent Alert: Parvo & Panleuk Outbreak in SEQ & Northern NSW!🚨
There has been a rise in cases of canine parvovirus (parvo) and feline panleukopenia (panleuk) in Brisbane, Logan, Gold Coast, Ipswich, and Northern NSW and AWLQ is calling on all pet owners to act quickly to protect their furry friends. Both diseases are highly contagious, potentially deadly, and costly to treat.

𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗹𝗲𝘂𝗸𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗮 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝟵𝟬% 𝗳𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗸𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀, 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘃𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲.

- Vomiting
- Diarrhoea (often bloody)
- Lethargy
- Loss of appetite
- Fever

If your pet shows any of these symptoms, seek veterinary care immediately.

🛑 𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗜𝗦 𝗞𝗘𝗬!
- Make sure your pets are up-to-date on their vaccinations.
- Keep cats indoors to limit exposure, especially young or unvaccinated ones.
- If surrendering a pet, ensure they’ve been vaccinated 2 weeks before surrender.
