Meet our team Monday 💙🤍💙

Nurse Aya has been with us for a few years now. Having grown up in the Phillipines, Aya graduated with a degree as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.

Aya and her husband are making Australia their permanent home and we’re excited to be able to support her in future plans to complete additional training so she can become a registered Veterinarian here too.

Aya has special interests in:

🔅Ultrasound and Medical Imaging
🔅Pathology

When not in clinic – Aya loves to explore the beaches and restaurants of the Gold Coast with her husband.

Our vets are always learning, discussing challenging cases and refining their skills.
It was a nice change to make some time for them recently to do it over breakfast before the clinic opened.

🚨This is what Tick Season looks like 🚨

We know this photo is confronting, but the purpose of sharing is to raise awareness.

Just last week we saw FOUR pets affected by tick neurotixins causing life-threatening paralysis.

TWO of those pet families had to say a gut wrenching goodbye 😢

Awareness is the key to prevention!

We want every pet protected this season:

✅ Keep your pet’s preventatives up to date… Some monthly treatments do work, BUT most of the patients we see presenting with tick paralysis are just a couple of days overdue their scheduled treatment 😳

✅ For pets OVER 12 months of age we recommend either a 6 monthly or one off annual treatment - limit the margin of error with just ONE or TWO reminders per year….. Not twelve ✌️

✅ Check your pets daily - They love the attention and a hands on massage - especially around the face - is the best safety net for tick prevention

✅ If you notice any change in bark/meow, vomiting, coughing, weakness or wobbly hind limbs call us immediately 📞

⏰ Because we feel SO VERY strongly about this - for a LIMITED TIME ONLY we are DISCOUNTING our preferred once annual tick prevention by a HUGE 30% !!!!

Meet the team Monday 💙

Dr Thomas joined us in 2024 after graduating with Honors in Veterinary Medicine in 2023. With a special interest in Dermatology and Reproduction medicine, Dr Thomas is being mentored by Dr Mark as he begins what we know will be a fantastic career in Veterinary Medicine.

Dr Thomas is fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese and English, a skill that has made him VERY popular.
With a senior and highly skilled team behind him,
Dr Thomas now has clients who refer him to their friends from all over the Coast and even the Southern Brisbane suburbs to take advantage of his trilingual skills.

Dr Thomas has special interests in:

When not in clinic –
