👍 Nice work to his new family who were keen to start him off on a raw food diet from early weeks.

⛱️ We are off on holidays from Monday 13th November for a week!

🚗 We will have 2 vehicles out early to complete the weeks deliveries all on Monday before 8am.

🙏 Any of our 'as you need' customers, can you please try and get your orders in by Sunday afternoon if you need an order for next week so we can be sure to include you.

⏰️ The time your deliveries arrive may be a little different to normal and we will of course stick with the ones we know we do by a certain time.

❄️ We recommend our meals are best used within 4 days of defrosting. ⁣

👅 We understand for our small dog friends, 500gm can still be too much to get through. ⁣
⁣
🐶 Evies mum recently shared how she manages this. She says;⁣
⁣
"We put a container in the fridge for about half a day. When it's not rock hard we just slice it with a sharp knife so we have nice little portions to use as we need" ⁣

🤓 Very clever eh?! We also hear portioning in to muffin tins works well also. ⁣
⁣
✅️ Always defrost meals in the fridge (not counter tops) and it's perfectly safe to refreeze once portioned.

🚗 Just an update around our delivery areas and days.

🥄 We decided to combine our Wednesday and Thursday run in the southern suburbs. Essentially dropping Thursday as a delivery day so we can spend more time on prep and making of our meals.

🎉 On that note...we make our first batch of a new recipe next week. Eeeppp!! So excited its finally happening.

To our wonderful customers,

📱 Do you get a text from us the night before your delivery? We always send a reminder message the night before so you can leave your yellow bag out and remember to keep an eye out for it in the morning.

⚡ Seems like my phone is having trouble in recent weeks and either some people don't get my texts at all or they come through days later. Garrrrhhh technology eh??!!

🤦‍♀️ You know we are all about great products but also awesome customer service so we hate the idea of you not being across exactly when your delivery is coming.

❓ Could you please let me know if you are NOT getting a reminder text the night before your delivery. Reply to this post, DM or email [email protected] and we will find another way to communicate. Would be great to also know the scale of this problem before I take it up with the phone wizards.

🐶 Puppies, puppies, puppies!!!! Go on, tell Winston and Walter how adorable they are. With those ears, of course they will hear you! ⁣⁣

🍗 Raw feeding from the beginning is the best way to start your new puppy on its best life journey. A few things to consider; ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
⚖ Puppies will need to eat around 6% of their body weight every day when raw feeding. This will constantly change by the week as your puppy grows. For these little guys, I'd estimate they are currently about 6kg, thats about 360g per day. Split between 2 but ideally 3 smaller meals. An adult dog by comparison needs around 2% of its body weight per day. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
🥩 Bones. Vets may tell you to avoid bones for puppies but I totally disagree. Puppies have a need to chew, its biologically fulfilling and stimulating both mentally and physically. Choose appropriate bones. Things like chicken wings, chicken necks to start with. Always supervise and remove from pup if it starts to break in small pieces. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
🕐 Exposure. A puppy has a 16 week "critical period" meaning this first 16 weeks plays a huge role in the dog you will have for life. If its first 8 weeks is with mum, you now have 8 weeks to get your training and exposure underway. Walking and playing with your puppy in the rain, walking across bridges and various surfaces, exposure to kids, bikes, scooters, lawnmowers in positive playful ways will help avoid these becoming fears and obstacles to train out of later. This goes for food also. Bring in the fresh fruits and veggies early. Rotate proteins, various organs in small amounts to begin exposures. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
👩‍⚕️ Find a vet that supports raw feeding. Some will, some won't. Just like doctors for yourself, find one that you are comfortable with. ⁣
