Thank you to our cutest customers!

π Merry Christmas to you all and I hope you, your families and of course your four legged family members have a safe and happy festive season ahead.
π Get to know our chicken recipe.
πΊ We base our meals on the Biologically Appropriate Raw Food (BARF) model which looks at what a canine's natural wild diet would have been.
β We work on 70% muscle meat, 10% organ, 10% ground bone and 10% fruit, veggies, super oils and powders.
Dog food delivered.
π’ If I had to put one word to all that's happening now it is sadness. I feel so terribly sad for every one losing their jobs, for all the small businesses facing the unknown. Today it seems to have really hit me.
π I feel incredibly lucky that our little business is one of the lucky few that can continue on relatively the same for now.
π I feel a sense of guilt to be "plugging" our business in such a terrible time however dogs still need to eat and we offer a service as we always have to deliver this to you throughout the Gold Coast. Our deliveries have always been primarily contactless as Ninja Jarred is out from around 5.30am to complete all deliveries before 8.00am, leaving them on doorsteps.
πΆ It's still safe to hug your dogs, they can never have too many so give liberally.
Why I use a long line
π€ Meet Cali, QCO (Quality Control Officer) here at The Naked Paw. Cali is an 8 year old American Staffy who we adopted at 9 months old.
π₯ Here is a little video of us on our morning walk using an 8 mt lead. Cali is an awesome dog but from early days we have had challenges around reactivity towards some dogs. We have worked with a number of behaviourists and I have studied with National Dog Trainers Federation to get help in over coming this. To this day, Cali's recall when we are out and about is 90% solid. For that reason, we have not been off lead in an open space for about 5 years. Until her recall is 100%, I will not risk it.
π Here is why I love the long line
- It allows Cali to freely walk, run, sniff, roll and engage in the environment
- It keeps everyone safe - other people, other dogs, her and myself
- It follows the rules - on lead means on lead and given we dont go to off lead areas, we can enjoy these parks and spaces
- It allows us to further continue proofing and working on our "lets go" and "come" command. I will often call Cali to come when she is under a high level of distraction such as seeing another dog or when she is very focused on a scent.
π Training is another area I am passionate about and have done some study in although I dont claim to be any sort of expert here. If you are thinking about this as an option, im always happy to share my experience and answer any questions - just get in touch!
ββ Meet Clara! ββ
πΆ Clara is currently in foster care through Precious Paws Animal Rescue INC. TNP is delighted to be sponsoring her by of providing all her food while she is in foster care.
π TNP are big supporters of rescue groups and the volunteers and foster carers who do so much for our dogs in need. We ourselves have fostered 3 dogs and wanted to share some love and sponsor a few dogs as they transition through the rehoming process.
π¦ We know first hand how much diet plays a big role in the rehabilitation of dogs in need. Many come from pounds, shelters or circumstances of abuse or neglect who arrive underweight and lacking any form of proper nutrition.
π» Stay tuned for more updates on Clara - her profile will be available soon on the PPAR website.
π We have more dogs to introduce to you very soon!
Are you new to raw feeding and not sure how much to feed?

Crocodile leg vs kangaroo jerky....
With a drool rating of 9 out of 10, the crocodile lasted her about 10 blissful minutes which by Staffy standards is pretty awesome! π
