Beautiful Joia received a Suprelorin implant last week. Her mum was delighted to report that just two days later she stopped tearing up her newspaper, calmed right down, and was back to her happy self. 🙌💛

In birds, Suprelorin (deslorelin) is often used to help manage hormone-driven behaviours such as self-mutilation, excessive egg-laying, aggression, and feather plucking. For Joia, it’s already made a big difference to her comfort and wellbeing. 🐦💛

Her mum also sent us this video to show how happy she is, and we absolutely love receiving these updates from our patients’ families. They truly make our day! ❤

✨ Surgery Spotlight ✨

Our team recently cared for a senior patient who had developed a splenic mass. Thanks to Dr Ingrid’s ultrasound skills, we confirmed it was confined to the spleen. Dr Caitlin, with Nurses Katie and Chloe by her side, then scrubbed in to remove it.
The mass weighed an incredible 4kg and the surgery was a huge career highlight for Dr Caitlin.

The best news of all? It was non-cancerous. What a relief! 💛

Come spend a consult with Dr Andres 🐶

When Jasper first arrived, he was too anxious to be examined in the consult room and wouldn’t allow any physical touch. By moving to a safe, open space, using high-value rewards, and letting him set the pace, Dr Andres was able to build trust and create a positive experience. This gentle approach made it possible to thoroughly assess the lump on his chest while keeping Jasper comfortable and confident.
