HOMESTAY PUPPY - WILA ... IN THE WILD 🩷🐾

I took Wila to visit Anthea's property this morning to try out being a farm puppy. An amazing opportunity to increase her exposure to lots of new sights, smells, animals & different experiences.

She met the lovely labradors, Auntie Alice & Granny Ziska & had a run around.

She introduced herself to Mojo the horse, but was happy to do that from a distance.

We also stopped by to visit the chickens who were happy to say hello & good morning.
I did suggest that she hop out of their food tray in case she was mistaken for a morsel!

Wila has had lunch & is now sound asleep in her crate.. big morning for a little woofer.

HOMESTAY PUPPY - WILA 🐾🩷

Wila has found her feet and is quickly becoming more bouncy & jumpy so we have started teaching her to sit politely for attention.

This is her 1st session, I think she did very well & I love her choice to lay down.

Wila wasn't given any command... this exercise requires patience as we wait for her to work it out for herself... clever girl Wila ⭐

This is an amazing skill to give Wila a way to ask for attention in a respectful manner.

PICCOLO & SCHATZIE 🐾🤍🐾

Shaping behaviour & clicker imprinting these little fluffers is turning out to be super fun! They are quick, clever & keen.

We are both loving the challenge of keeping up with them.... these little cuties are always smiling & ready to work. 🤍🤍

We are on our toes!!

HOMESTAY PUPPY - WILA 🐾🩷

As Wila will be living in an apartment, part of her training is having her learn to toilet on a grass mat.

This video is from the other night... her 1st wee on the grass mat in the middle of a wild thunderstorm. Good girl Wila 🥳🩷

Multi-tasking - toilet training + exposure

HOME STAY & TRAINING : CUB
Cub did a great job of overseeing some landscaping work today. He did lay down on the job a bit but towards the end redeemed himself by committing to some manual labour 🤣🤣

HOME STAY & TRAINING: HANK
Goofing around today seeing if Hank could heel beside me without me holding the lead. I think he did really well ❤️ though the trailing lead unsettled him out a little bit 🤣🤣

GOLD COAST AIRPORT AMBASSAPAW/AMBASSADOR TEAM
Today we were totally spoiled by the airport as they celebrated their 66 volunteers at the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary Homestead. The dogs couldn’t attend but we can assure them that a fabulous lunch was had by all and … they did receive gifts too❤️

HOME STAY & TRAINING: HANK
Because when out walking Hank can lack impulse control around other dogs (and let’s face it, he’s a big dog to have lose control!), he is being trained around my meandering Labradors, Peanut and Pluto. I ensure that his obedience training is very clear. “Heel” to fall in beside me; “drop” is to become an automatic “stay”; “good” is a marker that lets him know he’s making a good choice and “no” is a marker to let him know that he needs to make a different choice. All very very clear.
Now when I’m out walking him, for better control I have him come into “heel”; the very moment that I see his body language change due to a distraction the marker “no” is used (and note that it’s not said in a hard or harsh manner - it’s a marker!); when he then thinks to make a better choice “good”. Again, all very, very clear for him and taught at a pace to ensure his success. Good boy Hank🐶

HOME STAY & TRAINING: HANK
Good morning from Hank 🌞
He’s been for a long walk; obedience trained around the other dogs; had a good free run in the paddock and as I don’t feed a deep chested dog straight after exercise, now it’s time to mat train, relax and then he can have his breakfast. (In a separate note, Schatzie needs to stop barking 🤣🤣)

Our Mission

We believe that the key to making a dog an intergral part of your family is clear communication. No two dogs are the same, each and everyone completely unique. We use our experience to help you communicate effectively with your dog

Our team of trainers are highly skilled and dedicated to helping owners and their pets to achieve the best possible relationship through good communication and training. We have dedicated over 12 years to helping owners and their pets develop healthy relationships on the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Northern NSW. Our trainers all have their Certificate IV in Companian Animal Services with a focus on Dog Training and running classes. Combined we have trained thousands of dogs and will continue helping owners with pets.

We are focused on giving you the RIGHT advice built on years of study and experience. We will always be honest!

We recognise that every dog is unique and each owner is equally unique and we are skilled in trouble shooting and problem solving for each dog and owner unit we work with. What works for one dog may not work for another. We do not discriminate against any breeds and work with all dogs big or small. We are continually studying to ensure we have the latest and up to date training methods and techniques.
