Seven ridiculously adorable 1 week old Cocker Spaniel puppies, all squishy and grunty and full of puppy breath (I wish you could bottle that smell).

The squishy faces and sausage shaped bodies and that absolutely PERFECT little paws and toe beans.

This is Midnight.

Midnight was only 10 days old at the time of these photos and came to us for treatment for pneumonia.

Dr. Meg gave her an antibiotic injection and we all had a wonderful snuggle before she headed home with the incredible people who are looking after her.

We are looking for dogs to go on our blood donor list!

GP vets are usually unable to keep donor blood on hand to use when we receive patients who are seriously injure or suffering from a life threatening condition that requires a blood transfusion.

In these situations, we need to call on a blood donor to come to the clinic and donate on short notice.

If your dog fits the following requirements, please call the clinic so we can add them to our donor list.

- Fit and healthy
- Weighs at least 25kg
- Between 1-5 years of age
- Up to date with vaccinations, worming, flea and tick preventatives
- Has not received a blood transfusion previously
- Has a calm temperament
- Be capable of lying calmly for 10-15 minutes with their owner present while the donation occurs

The biggest, cutest baby you ever did see!!

This gorgeous boy is Wolfie. He's a 14 week old German Shepherd.

He spent the day with Nurse Jade and Dr. Mark to have his base narrow canines fixed. Dogs with base narrow canines will have the canines penetrating into the gums or hard palate every time they chew! It can be really painful for them.

Awww baby girl!

This is Zara. She is a 9 year old Staffy who spent the day with us recently to have some lumps removed.

Zara is very lucky to be the beloved doggo of Jodi, our senior nurse and puppy school teacher extraordinaire!

Jodi had recently noticed two lumps on Zara and decided to play it safe and have them removed.

Our gorgeous girl Zara has previously had mast cell tumors* and we didn't want to take any risks by leaving the lumps any longer than necessary.

* Mast cell tumours are the most common type of skin cancer found in dogs. They can be extremely aggressive and fast growing.

Mast cell tumors most commonly appear as a skin mass. The tumors can have a wide range in their appearance, including smooth pink lumps, ulcerated (raw) skin lesions and even soft tumors under the skin that may be misdiagnosed as a fatty lipoma.

This gorgeous boy is Billy!

Billy came to see us recently with a suspected broken leg. Billy LOVES to jump and his humans were concerned that he'd sustained an injury as he presented with sudden onset lameness.

Dr. Mark thoroughly examined Billy and concluded that although he was very sore, he suspected a sprain rather than a fracture.

Billy was prescribed rest and some anti-inflammatories.

Teams that play together... stay together!!

Well... mostly..

We had a super fun team lunch on Sunday at Frida Sol, a big thank you to the staff there who waited on us and helped make it a great afternoon/evening.

We wanted to celebrate our fantastic team and say goodbye to two much loved team members.

Our fabulous receptionist Erin has moved in to interior design and will no longer be our regular Monday entertainment and organisational wiz. Whilst she will (hopefully) still fill in for us from time to time, we're very excited for her next adventure.

We also say goodbye to our wonderful junior nurse Shakira, who has recently finished her certificate 4 in nursing and is now headed to Melbourne to follow her dream of entering in to the fashion industry. We wish her all the best and can't wait to hear updates about this next chapter of her life.

Oh Alice, you perfection wrapped in glossy black fur.

This ever so sweet and gentle girl was feeling rather poorly, with what looked like gastroenteritis symptoms.

She had been a little cheeky a few days earlier and managed to get into an unopened box of wet dog food.... and eat the whole package including some of the packaging!

So..... she came and spent the day with our awesome team.

She has had x-rays and an ultrasound to rule out the possibility of a blockage from the packaging and blood tests and IV fluid therapy to ensure her system is well supported.

She's also had kisses and cuddles to help her morale. ❤

Hey wonderful community, we received a beautiful wallaby who had been hit by a car on Monday.

Unfortunately the wallaby was killed, and the driver didn't bother to stop. (There is no way you could possibly not know when you've hit a wallaby.)

Fortunately the person driving behind them did stop. They checked on the poor wallaby and did an essential pouch check.

Thanks to this kind person we were able to remove the gorgeous joey and give them a fighting chance.

1. SLOW DOWN!

2. accidents happen! We all know that. The least you can do after accidentally hitting a living creature is to stop and see if you can help

3. Pouch checks are essential. This poor joey would absolutely have lost it's life as well if it were not for the wonderful person who stopped

Please slow down on our roads, we're so lucky to live in an area filled with a stunning aray of creatures...let's keep it that way.

This is 12 year old Tibetan Spaniel, Rosie!

She is an absolute love bug

Rosie spent the day in hospital with us for a full medical work up as she has had some stiffness through her back, some neurological changes and just seems a bit uncomfortable. Throughout the day Rosie had an abdominal ultrasound, spinal x-rays and a bile acid stimulation test.

She's pictured with our Receptionist Mia having some extra snuggles before home time.

He is an 8 week old American Staffy. Check our his gorgeous coat. He popped in with his human for his first vaccination and a wellness check. He passed with flying colours and is the picture of puppy cuteness with floppy paws and adorable puppy breath.
