Breed Traits!
If you have a specific breed of dog and their breed trait is displaying in an unnatural way! Their energy needs to be redirected into something where they can fully release pent up and unwanted energy!
- oodles and doodles being over excited, can’t settle, jumping and running off
- Border collies chasing car wheels, herding other dogs, children
- German Shepherds on high alert and reactive
- Siberian Huskies, pulling on the lead, not coming back when you call them
The energy has to go somewhere! If they aren’t given jobs, tasks or a purpose to fill their day, they will find it themselves.
Then we as humans will put a label on it and blame the breed or the fact our dog has anxiety or stress etc
But majority of the time it’s misplaced unmet energy needs.
