Arundel Park Riding for Disabled Inc.is a not for profit,registered charity established in 1985.Each week over 130 children and adults with a disability come to Arundel Park for therapeutic and recreational riding with the help of some 100 volunteers.

🌧️Update: Cyclone Alfred Aftermath & Temporary Closure🌧️

We hope everyone is safe during this time. It's good to see the rain easing and floodwaters receding!

APRDA management will assess the grounds tomorrow, and will develop a plan to get classes back up and running safely as soon as possible.

Our horses are safe and are looking forward to seeing everyone soon! 🐴

🌧️ Important Update: Cyclone Alfred Aftermath & Temporary Closure 🌧️

We’re relieved to share that all our horses are safe after the recent Cyclone! 🐴 However, our property has been significantly impacted, with many fallen trees and flooding. Thank you to the team from the City of Gold Coast who has assisted with clearing trees at the entrance, but conditions remain unsafe.

For everyone’s safety:
⚠️ All classes are postponed until further notice.
⚠️ The property is CLOSED until further notice.

A huge shout out to our amazing caretakers for keeping our herd safe and cared for during this time! 💚

We will need volunteers for the clean-up once the weather improves. Stay tuned for updates—our next one will be posted tomorrow evening.

🌧️ Storm Update from ARPDA 🌧️

We’re relieved to report that all our horses are safe and sound after the storm. 🐴 However, we have a lot of trees down and are waiting for SES to help remove a big tree blocking the driveway. Our caretakers still have power and have done an amazing job looking after our property and herd. Huge thank you to them! 🙏

We will definitely need help with the clean-up, but we’ll wait until the weather improves as there’s still a lot of rain to come. Management will notify everyone once we have a clean-up plan in place.

⚠️ Cyclone Update ⚠️

As advised by GCCC, APRDA will be closed for the remainder of this week, starting Wednesday, 5th March, due to the uncertainty surrounding Cyclone Alfred.
We will provide an update on the reopening date as soon as possible, so please keep an eye on our social media pages.

Hi everyone, Cyclone update - tomorrow’s sessions are planned to go ahead and then we will let everyone know about the rest of the week. We are moving horses about to avoid floods and falling trees so there may well be disruptions and cancellations to lessons. Please bear with us this week as we navigate Cyclone Alfred. Thank you

📢 Join Us at the 50-50 Charity Raffle – Jewel Raceday! 🐎🎟️

We’re calling on our amazing volunteers and supporters to help us raise funds for Arundel Park Riding for Disabled at the Gold Coast Turf Club Jewel Raceday! 🌟

🟢 What’s Happening?
We’ll be selling raffle tickets for the 50-50 Charity Raffle, where half of the jackpot goes to a lucky winner and the other half directly supports our programs! The more tickets we sell, the more funds we raise!

🌟 Exciting Announcement! 🌟

We're proud to promote 'Umbrellas in the Jungle', the debut book by Tony Carter, our Friday volunteer, jack of all trades, and Mango’s best mate! 🐴

Umbrellas in the Jungle is a collection of 98 humorous short stories based on Tony’s nine months of travel through South America, from September 2023 to June 2024. The journey began with a mission to help rebuild Gloria’s (Tony’s mother-in-law’s) house in Colombia, but it soon evolved into 281 days of adventure across Colombia, Ecuador, Brazil, and Peru, with Cali, Colombia as his home base.

These stories are based on real events and are filled with astute observations and satirical commentary. It’s a must-read for anyone who loves humor, travel, and unique experiences!
