In the spirit of giving, it can be tempting to give in to those puppy dog eyes and give your furry friend a taste of the Christmas ham or another of our tasty treats 👀🍗

Most cooked meats are okay to feed to cats and dogs in small quantities. However, do not feed your pets cooked bones, as these can easily splinter and damage their intestines and throat 🦴

Keep meat scraps free of gravy and marinades, and ensure any candy canes, cookies or chocolates left out for Santa Paws are well out of reach 🎅

Do not feed this to your pets.

We're aware of the following incident in which a 3 year old Chihuahua was put to sleep after multiple seizures having been fed Nestle Purina Lucky Dog. Another family dog, aged 15, suffered the same symptoms after being fed from the same bag. Batch expiry 30/11/22.

EDIT: Another reported case of severe vomiting and diarrhoea ($3000 vet bills) has occurred with a dog fed with batch expiry 23/11/22.

We're also aware of other reports of vomiting and diarrhoea.

We rate Lucky Dog 1 out of 10 due to the product being prominently cereal/vegetable by-products and food colourings. If you feed this product, or other Purina products, then we urge you to read this - https://www.petfoodreviews.com.au/lucky-dog-dog-food-review/

We are not aware of any recall by Purina in regard to these incidents. Recalls are not mandatory in Australia due to voluntary standards, and there is no official body in place to enforce recalls or address safety concerns.

Axle & Indy are looking desperately looking for a forever home together! 🐶 🐶

The dynamic duo has been waiting for a home for a while now. And while they're are getting all the love and attention they could want, unfortunately, Axle and Indy aren't enjoying their time with us 😢

They are all things Staffy - full of life, full of love and ready to snuggle their way onto your couch 🛋 Having two dogs has lots of perks, the best one being that while you're off doing boring human things, they have each other to keep company and are often quite settled 😊 Axle and Indy would be happiest as the only four-legged creatures in their home so they can be the centre of attention. They have very politely let us know that off-leash parks and beaches really aren't their thing and they would prefer a nice leisurely stroll as their exercise 👣🐾 Axle and Indy's fees have been waived as they have been waiting ever so patiently for their very special people, so come in and meet them today! 💜💛

working dogs - sadly one has passed away

Two dogs hit by a car on Tamborine Beaudesert Road, Tamborine close to yore road. Approximately 12midnight.
Black and Red working dogs. Unfortunately one has passed away, we tried to find the owners went to a couple of houses but no luck,. The red male is alive both have been taken to Underwood Emergency Vets, by my neice. No identification on collars and not microchipped PLEASE contact underwood vet they have both of the dogs there. The red one is receiving treatment now
