Hmmm just did our late night check on all the furry guests and stumbled across this π€ Yet, when questioned, no furry guests knew anything and all were silent when we walked in.
We have also found a stash of champagne in the fridge π₯ and party hats under the desk. Suspicion is growing.... watch this space.
When you make a funny video skit for a family member's Birthday and you just have to include a cat with character. Ice Cream the Devon Rex could very well be the next contestant on Dancing With the Stars π€©ππΊπ€£
πΆ SOUND UP πΆ
Adorable Lil' furry guest Malee needs a puffer daily to manage her asthma. And she absolutely π―% knows it helps her. She races for it & gets in "puffer position"! No matter where she is - asleep inside, out on the deck, up high on the shelf - she always comes running for it!
* Asthma in cats is more common than many think, but easily managed. And cats can lead very long & healthy lives π
Thank you Benson, for helping to clean the window. You are a thoughtful young man. Now are you up for joining us each morning at 6am for the big morning clean π©π€£π©ππ©ππ©
You know that Toy Story song πΆ You've Got A Friend in Me πΆ, well this applies to our Dalmatian Winston & his new best pal π We started a trial with Pickle, the beagle, and had to cut the trial short because they both decided it was meant to be. The piccies say it all. Friends for Life πΆπ₯°πΆ
Heaps of our Cattery Family have said they loved the post from the 6th August showing our boy Bayley on his carpeted wall π©΅ This is just another lil' snippet taken this week. See how he pats out where the edge is, like a blind person using a cane? π₯°π₯°π₯°
Original post is here for any who missed it: https://www.facebook.com/share/v/KUdidGfponQsPPa2/?mibextid=oFDknk
"We're all mad here. I'm mad, you're mad"
~ Quote by The Cheshire Cat π₯΄ππ€ͺ
(Group post of furry guests' piccies coming soon, once we stop feeling dizzy from our nutcase dawg) π΅βπ«
It's nearly 2yrs since our boy Bayley literally went blind overnight. The day it happened, we panicked π and he just spent hours mapping the house out, like "whatever guys, I'll deal with this!". And as long as we don't make big moves of furniture and belongings, most wouldn't even know. He's a remarkable little guy that we learn new things from every day and are always in awe of how adaptable he is. But! There is one thing he absolutely LOVED - his carpeted ramp wall. Or racetrack (as we used to call it when we had Bayley & his brother Ripley still with us).
Bayley hasn't been able to use it since going blind and we can tell he misses it every day. If we could grant a wish and bring back one thing he could safely do, this would be it. Instead, he calls us to the wall every night and we pick him up for supervised time. He proudly stands there, does a little scratch on the carpet, gives thank you kisses & he's then happy π» Can't tell you how much we love our boy π
When we do our last check of a night, on what has been a very chilly & windy day π₯Άπ₯Άπ₯Ά A full house all LOVING the heaters & totally out like a light ! πΆ Sound Up! πΆ
What to do when you have 2 puds, one who eats like a little lady and the other who... erm... eats like a vacuum cleaner π€·πΌββοΈ Pop the food into a treat ball & bingo! Zala (the lady) can eat nice and slowly (& in peace π) while Venice (hoover) also slows down but thinks it's just a big game with high rewards. Win Win !
π€« Secret Cat Language π€«
We have no idea why, but after many years of Cinders coming all throughout the year, she has a new night time language π€·πΌββοΈ She does this every night, at our last late night check in before we go to beddy. Now we're just trying to work out what she's saying! Any ideas ??

Meet Pablo π©΅ It's his first holiday with us. His history in staying at Catteries hasn't been so great in the past, with him struggling to eat anything at all, including his own food. With a few tactics trialled in the first 24hrs, we recognised very early on that he responds well to reassurance - especially eye contact & pats.
By dinner on the second day, he was already eating, with lots of reassurance! By day 5 he didn't even need the reassurance other than a quick glance. He's now devouring everything we put Infront of him. We're rapt. His pawrents are rapt. And we think Pablo has given his paw of approval to his new holiday house πΎπ©΅πΎπ©΅
Very very occasionally we will get a tough nut to crack, that no matter what we try it just won't work. It may just be that they're not suited to a Cattery environment. But most of the time, with understanding, observation & extra time given, as well as their own food if you know your cat may struggle to eat normally, we come out with a win πͺπΌ
