The end of an era!

As much as we love our farm Denerry Vale, we've decided to downsize to sandier pastures. Jack & Dayzee are very much looking forward to new beach adventures 🐾😎🐾

Orange Dog Sports Club held their very first Scent Work trial on the weekend, at a fantastic facility at Borenore. And a great trial it was!
Jack & Dayzee did great yet again, picking up a 2nd place each in Advanced (Vehicles & Exterior). And Jack gained another qualification in Excellent (Exterior) 🥳
So that's a wrap on our Scent Work trialling for this year 🐾🎉🐾

Quick trip to Coffs Harbour for a great weekend of Scent Work trialling. Lots of great achievements to celebrate too 🐾🥳🐾
Jack & Dayzee both achieved their first qualifications at Excellent level. Jack won a 1st place in Advanced Containers and a 2nd place in Advanced Vehicles. Dayzee achieved her final qualification for her Scent Work Advanced title 🎉

And to finish off the week, Lil & I travelled up to Grafton for the purple jacaranda trial held by Grafton Dog Obedience Club, where we won some lovely purple prizes! 🐾💜🐾
Dayzee did some amazing sniffing over her 4 entries in Advanced, achieving two 1sts and a 2nd place. But Jack was also pretty chuffed with his 3rd place in Novice 🐾😁🐾

After all the excitement of Jack & Indi’s titles, we continued to have a great week hanging out at Lil’s. In addition to the Cessnock trial, we also managed to squeeze in another Scent Work trial held at Salt Ash by Ports Stephens Dog Sports Club 🐾😎🐾

Thrilled to bits!! 🥳
Received DenerryVale’s first Breeders Certificate for one of Dayzee & Jack’s pups attaining a title! And the best part of all was that we were there to share in the celebrations 🎉 In fact, in the same event (Scent Work Novice Interior), both Jack and his son Indi (Denerryvale Outback Wanderer) attained their final qualification to both attain their SWN title. How cool is that?! Jack also achieved 2nd place in the event 🥈

Had a fantastic weekend in Tamworth at the Scent Work trials held by Oxley Dog Training Club. The club really did an amazing job organising such a large event with so many classes on offer. Thoroughly enjoyed spending time with fellow triallers Lilian (with Jack & Dayzee's son Indi) and Annette. Icing on the cake was that we all achieved placings! 🐾🤩🐾

Jack & Dayzee qualified in all of their 6 events, including a 1st place for Dayzee in Novice Exterior and a 1st place for Jack in Novice Vehicles. Dayzee also obtained her final qualification to achieve her SWN (Scent Work Novice) title 🐾🥇🐾

Had so much fun at the Chequered Flag Scent Work Trial held by Cessnock Dog Club on the weekend. Extra proud of their achievements at this trial. Jack picked up a 3rd Place in Novice Containers and qualified in his first attempt at Advanced level (Exterior). But particularly chuffed at receiving the Judges Choice Team Award for Dayzee & I working so well together in Novice Vehicles 🐾😍🐾

Had a great day at Newcastle Scent Work trial catching up with Dayzee & Jack's son Indi (Denerryvale Outback Wanderer), and of course, the rest of his family 🐾😍🐾
and the icing on the cake was that we all came away with quals! 🤩🎉🤩

Can't believe it's been 6 months since we last trialled! Although we've enjoyed the break from Obedience, Jack & Dayzee have been typical Border Collies looking for something to keep them engaged. So the sniffers have been doing what they do best, sniffing! Last week, we entered our first Scent Work trial. Very happy to obtain 3 qualifications from 3 entries 🐾😁🐾
