“I bet young vets in the city don’t get to have this much fun!” - unnamed veterinarian from GDVS whilst performing an emergency caesarean on a mother dog. Four pups were delivered and resuscitated over several hours - mum and pups went home today! Well done team!

A young foal presented to GDVS with a very sore eye. An ulcer was caused by a rolled-in eyelid so that the eyelashes were rubbing directly on the eyeball 👁️. Our clever vets quickly diagnosed the issue, performed surgery to correct the eyelid and treated the ulcer. The young foal is now home recovering. Well done team!

- a diabetic crash in an older dog
- a puppy trampled by cattle with severe chest trauma
- two cats with inflammatory urinary tract infections
- a dog with haemorrhaging intestines
- a puppy hit by a car with collapsed lungs
- a dog with a brain tumour
- a foal with an abscess in his eye
- a gelding with a large infected wound on his leg

Waking up early for work is tough in Winter 🥶 …. but just take a look at our office! 😍🌅🐄

Safe to say that Odin the clinic labrador was a hit at our prep class vet visit yesterday! The kids learned about chickens, how to apply a bandage and listened to their own hearts with a stethoscope!!

Surgery was required for this female dog after she developed an enormous abscess within her mammary glands. She was running a fever and felt pretty awful but is now back home and recovering well 🥰🐾

Dr Holly performed surgery on an abscess and managed to remove an enormous piece of wood that the dog had run onto!! #thatfeelsbetter #smallanimalsurgeon #goondiwindidistrictvets

It’s Showtime!! Come on down to the GDVS stall - sandpit treasure, chicks, bubbles!

This poor working dog had a run-in with a piece of tin and managed to sever her achilles tendon two weeks ago. A big WELL DONE to the owner for looking after her during the floods with a well-stocked veterinary emergency kit. They were able to keep the wound clean and bandaged for the 10 days they were isolated by floodwaters.
