We’re absolutely thrilled to have been chosen to spell the at Melbourne horses, who play such an important role at the Melbourne Veterinary School in training our next generation of vets.

This lovely group is a mixture of retired Thoroughbreds and Standardbreds, each with their own story and gentle nature. This was their first time altogether in a big paddock here at HSP — a chance to stretch out, relax, and start working out the beginnings of new friendships.

It’s a privilege to care for them while they take a well-earned break, and we’re proud to support the education of future veterinarians in such a meaningful way

Rehabilitation is always a team effort here at HSP. For Thorin, it meant months of careful conditioning; controlled exercise on the water treadmill, bodywork, shock wave therapy and the slow steady strengthening that tendons demand. He never rushed the process and neither did we! Congratulations to his owners and Nick Ryan Racing! Good to see him coming back so strong.

We know… we’ve been a little quiet on here, but that’s only because we’ve been busy, busy, busy! 🐴💦

This month, our water treadmill has been busy — mares, fillies, colts, and stallions. We’ve welcomed Pacers, Trotters, Show Ponies, Gallopers, Camp drafters, Dressage horses, Eventers, and Show Jumpers.

The variety has been fantastic, and the best part? Every single one of them has found huge benefits from their sessions — from strength gains to recovery support.
