🏗️ What’s Happening at Horse Shepherd Park? 🏗️

Exciting things are underway! We’re currently building a purpose-built Laminitis Clinic at the rear of our stable block — designed to provide specialised rehabilitation and care for horses and ponies recovering from laminitis.

We’re also adding a carport for the Equine Ambulance, giving us a dedicated space to protect this vital service vehicle and keep it ready for emergency callouts.

UPDATE:
At the end of this month, we’ll be farewelling Troy and want to thank him for his dedication and the care he’s shown during his time with us. We wish him all the best as he returns to his farrier business.
With this transition, we have taken the opportunity to review all aspects of our business. We’re committed to continue growing and improving to ensure that our clients and their equine partners receive the highest standard of care across all our services — including conditioning, spelling, and rehabilitation.

We know… we’ve been a little quiet on here, but that’s only because we’ve been busy, busy, busy! 🐴💦

This month, our water treadmill has been busy — mares, fillies, colts, and stallions. We’ve welcomed Pacers, Trotters, Show Ponies, Gallopers, Camp drafters, Dressage horses, Eventers, and Show Jumpers.

The variety has been fantastic, and the best part? Every single one of them has found huge benefits from their sessions — from strength gains to recovery support.

Unlike swimming, a water treadmill offers a safe, structured environment for rehab and conditioning. Our experienced handler is able to directly control the speed, water depth, incline and duration of each session.
