We firmly believe that all animals deserve equal care and attention. With fully equipped examination rooms, diagnostic machines and a comprehensive pharmacy we can provide on-the-spot assistance for nearly all pet health, medical and surgical needs. We also have a web of supporting veterinary specialists to whom we can refer to and although we do offer a 24 hour emergency service we also have the back-up of an after-hours emergency clinic in the Animal Emergency Centre Canberra.

Off to the wild!

This brave girl was found hanging by her foot after getting stuck in a fence!

After being brought in by a carer, she was examined, radiographed, given fluids, pain relief, muscle relaxants, and antibiotics.

Now, after ongoing care she is ready to join other joeys her age ahead of release.

Snake season is here, with reports of sightings in the Goulburn area just this week. Through the warmer months, snake bites are one of the most common emergencies that we see, and knowing the signs and symptoms of a snake bite can mean that you get your pet veterinary care sooner.

If you see a snake or suspect that your pet may have been bitten by a snake, the most important thing you can do is call the clinic and bring them in straight away.

Common signs and symptoms of snake bites include:
- generalised weakness
- vomiting
- excessive salivation
- tremors
