❄️ baby it’s cold outside! ❄️

Take a look at our simple tips on what to do when you get your crickets in winter. Remember the crickets sit in the cold for a night or two on their way to you so they may look dormant when you get them. Take them out of their packaging, pop them somewhere warm as soon as possible and give them some fresh food and water.

As always, if there are any issues with your crickets when you get them just let us know and we will sort it out for you 😊

It’s been hot lately! Here is a few tips on what to do when your order arrives in summer:
1. Take them out of their packaging as soon as possible and put them into something with plenty of space and ventilation.
2. Give them fresh water and food.
3. Place them somewhere cool, out of direct sunlight.

While we do everything we can to keep your crickets at the right temperature and try to ensure they arrive in the best condition, unfortunately once we have given them to the post office it is out of our control how they are handled.

For those of you that have ordered off us before you would have seen these labels asking for them to be kept in a cool, dry spot yet sometimes they arrive soaking wet or clearly having been left somewhere too hot. Summer can often lead to higher casualty rates as they sit in the back of a hot postage van or on the tarmac at the airport.

We are a small family business that aims to give you good quality crickets at affordable prices. Your crickets were alive and healthy when we sent them but if they arrive any other way please don’t send us abuse and threats, just let us know and we will sort it out for you!

Christmas is almost here! We will be sending out our last lot of orders for the year on Tuesday 13th December and reopening again on Monday 9th January.

We’ve had quite a few new people start following us lately so we thought we should introduce ourselves.

This is Dean and I’m Lana. If you email us, call us or see something on Facebook your most likely talking to me 😊

Dean and I started this business about 10 years ago in his parents basement and it’s grown from there to a farm out past Goulburn.

We’ve been married for 6 years and have 2 little boys, Seth (4) and Coen (2). Cricket King is a small family business that is owned and operated by the 2 of us with occasional help (but more often hindrance 😂) from our boys.

Thank you to all our customers who support our business. It’s hard work but we enjoy breeding good quality crickets for your pets. We also hope to have other insects available in the coming months!

We have excess stock of extra large crickets so we are selling packs of up to 500 at a discounted rate. These crickets are bigger than our normal large crickets as they are bit older and usually only used as breeding stock but still have a few weeks left to live.

We've never sent crickets of this size/age in the post before so although we are 99% sure they will be fine, we wont be including a live cricket guarantee in this trial run. You will get the usual 10% extra crickets with your order.
