💫Puppy Preschool💫

Last week we had our first practical with the latest round of pups.

🐕 Remember Milo 🐕

Milo participated in Puppy Preschool just over 12 months ago.

Just recently he started developing some anxiety when his owners leave the house.

I went around for a visit to see if we could implement some changes to help stop this behaviour.

❤️Meet Poppy❤️

Poppy is a gorgeous girl who just missed the age cut off for Puppy Preschool.
Her family wanted to start her off on the right foot and make sure they had things right from the start.
For a young pup this girl really was a polite gently lady!

🐕 Remember Charlie 🐕

Charlie regularly drops into the clinic to say hello!
I do love seeing puppy’s all grown up and doing well!
Charlie’s mum has put in a phenomenal effort with her training (Shiba’s can be really difficult) and she is such a well behaved girl!
She has just enough of that shiba spice that life will never be boring!

❤️Meet Murphy❤️

Murphy is a gorgeous 18 week old Cavoodle.
Unfortunately she was just a little bit old for Puppy School.
We spent a fun morning discussing general puppy behaviour and training including:

🐕socialisation
🐕 mouthing
🐕 jumping
🐕 manners around gates and doors
🐕 recall
🐕 place position
🐕 and socialisation and management around her 🐇 brother.

Mum was needing help after adding 2 more to this pack of gorgeous terrors!

We discussed multi dog households and how to cut through the chaos.
Creating some routines and rules to help with this.
Basic obedience and desensitisation just to name a few.

❤️ Meet Jimmy❤️

Jimmy is a gorgeous 17 Week old Dachshund, whilst being slightly too old for Puppy Preschool, his mum wanted to get him started on the right foot.
We discussed generalised behaviour toilet training and went through some basics like sit, drop, and thresholds.

He’s such a spunky little boy and will be a great companion for his mum!

I’ve Been abit slack on Social Media, but two weeks ago these amazing pups Graduated!
They did an amazing job and are really fantastic little dogs and it was easy to see their owners put in the hard work!

🐕 Remember Vern? 🐕

Vern was in the last round of Puppy Preschool but was away for Graduation.
I met up with him recently to do a brief catch up and go over some things from class.
He also received his Graduation Certificate!

🐕Remember Toto?🐕

Toto was one of last years puppy school participants!

Recently his mum acquired a friend for Toto and Little Daisy came to join the family.

General puppy antics ensued made more difficult by the fact that Daisy came as an older puppy with very little training done in her early months.

We spent the morning working on basics for Daisy, a refresher for Toto and looked at systems to cut chaos in a multi dog household.

Both pups did super well and it was great to see Toto looking so grown up!

Aggie is a 5 month old German Short Hair Pointer x Wolfhound.

Aggie is a sweet girl but was too old to attend puppy preschool, her mum and dad wanted to address some annoying behaviours before they get to bad as well as give her a solid foundation with her general obedience.

❤️ Meet Ollie ❤️

Ollie is a 19 week old Cavalier King Charles and has loads of character!

Ollie’s parents hadn’t owned a puppy for a number of years so opted to do a 1-1 session to help get them all set up and on the right track.

We went through some basic commands, crate training, toilet training and also tackled some jumping issues.

Bailey was one of the first puppies to complete Puppy Preschool.
Her owners decided to give me a call for a refresher on her recall and her jumping when she gets excited.
She still has the sweetest personality!
