*Special Announcement: Extended After-Hours Emergency Services!* 🏥👩🏽‍⚕️🐾

We are pleased to share that, thanks to the generous offer and availability of a locum veterinarian, our clinic will be offering one-time extended hours in the lead-up to Christmas.

In addition to our regular weekend hours (Friday 5 PM – Monday 8 AM), we’ll also be open during the following times:

📅 Monday, December 9th: 5:30 PM – Tuesday, December 10th, 8 AM

📅 Tuesday, December 10th: 5:30 PM – Wednesday, December 11th, 8 AM

📅 Monday, December 16th: 5:30 PM – Tuesday, December 17th, 8 AM

📅 Tuesday, December 17th: 5:30 PM – Wednesday, December 18th, 8 AM

This is a unique opportunity aimed at offering after-hours support to local General Practices during the busy holiday period. While we are not able to sustain these hours on a regular basis, we are delighted to provide this temporary reprieve for our community.

This Thursday is Launceston Show Day - the lovely people at Animal Emergency Hospital Launceston are open from Wednesday 5pm until Friday 8am as well as their usual weekend hours (Friday 5pm-Monday 8am)

Did you know that Tasmania has been free of hydatid disease in dogs since 1996?
Although infected dogs rarely show symptoms of being unwell, if passed to humans, the disease can be fatal!

To help us keep hydatid disease out, any dogs entering Tasmania must be treated with a dog worming product containing the active ingredient praziquantel, at a dose of rate of 5mg/kg body weight, within 14 days before entering Tasmania.
