• 8 double choc chip cookies

Only FOUR boxes will be made unless more are pre ordered.

Pre order & payment is preferred

$50 per box

Smaller orders are welcomed- can do individual mini cakes and sets of 4/6/12/24 cupcakes. Colours themes are subject to change.
Pickup Lara all day Saturday.

For now we will just be settling with our little flock and enjoying their lovely gifts. We may have dozens available later this year as our youngest pullets mature, but as of right now cannot make any guarantees as to when we be rebuilding our flock to it’s former glory. In the meantime we will still be sharing updates on our chooks, future hatches, and recipes. Goodnight from Edmund, our lovely Light Sussex cockerel.

- THE BAKERS DOZEN ZUCCHINI BREAD -

• 2 eggs, your genuine free-range eggs courtesy of The Baker's Dozen will obviously work best for this 😉
• ½ tablespoon ground cinnamon
• ½ tablespoon vanilla extract
• 1 teaspoon salt
• ½ cup canola oil
• 1 ¾ cups plain flour
• 1 ¼ cups white sugar
• ½ tablespoon baking powder
• 1 ½ cups zucchini, grated, skin on
• ½ walnuts and almonds, roughly chopped (additions ¼ cup, also roughly chopped, for top of loaf)

STEP 1 -
Preheat oven to 150°c fanforced and move shelf to the lowest point of the oven.

STEP 2 -
Mix eggs, oil, sugar and vanilla extract in a bowl until well combined. Add cinnamon, salt and baking powder and mix well.

STEP 3 -
Add flour a ¼ cup at a time till well combined. Add grated zucchini and chopped nuts. Once well distributed in the batter, allow batter to rest for a minimum of 15 minutes.

STEP 4 -
Pour batter into a parchment lined bread pan, place pan lengthways close to the front of the oven (this allows maximum airflow, and allows loaf to cook and rise more evenly).
Bake for approx 50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Serve warm, store in fridge for up to a week or freeze.

Due to the sudden increase in hens we are somewhat drowning in eggs. We will have at least 1 dozen fresh eggs available daily as of next week!

Picked up these G O R G E O U S French Wheaten Marans eggs yesterday! Keen to get them in the incubator tomorrow, we will be retaining all French Wheaten Marans for a breeding pen and our mixed laying flock (for those yummo genuine free-range rainbow dozens some of you are very patiently waiting for!)

And just like that they are done hatching! Total of 72 live chicks, some are still hatching but are struggling so I'm not holding out hope. Unfortunately almost 3 dozen late stage DIS which I believe was because of a hiccup during incubation on day 15 where the temp would not go below 38 and was above 38 from the 15th to the 18th day, a bit of trouble shooting and the error is now resolved, hopefully it won't happen again!
