~Leader Equine Dressage Spectacular~

2 weeks ago I took the reins of Miranda Lloyd’s beautiful stallion, “Boutique Secret Pl***oy” (Secret x Rotspon).
It’s been a busy couple of weeks of getting to know each other, settling Pl***oy into his new surroundings and also preparing for this show.

I couldn’t be more proud of Pl***oy. He won both tests, scoring 73% in each of them and taking out Novice Champion 🥇🥇🏆
What a good boy!🦄🖤

WVDC March Dressage Competition

Congratulations to my students that had another successful competition last weekend 😁👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Holly Hornsey & Tuscan had their first official Elementary start, winning both tests and taking out Champion! 🏆🥇🥇

Alison Rotherham and Belvurn also did their first Novice tests. They did 2 lovely tests to come away with 3rd and 4th 🤩

Super proud of these 2 combinations. They just keep getting better and better 🩷

It’s been a super busy week at Naomi Gollings Dressage, so just catching up now!

Last weekend, 3 students competed in Rounds 2 & 3 of The Golden Spurs series held at Elcho Park. They all had fantastic results 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🤩

~Saturday~

Holly Hornsey & Tuscan were level 1 Champions🥇🏆

Alison Rotherham & Belvurn were 3rd in the level 3 🥉

Linzi Roos & Raven were also 3rd in the level 3 (different section to Alison) 🥉

~Sunday~

Holly Hornsey & Tuscan were again level 1 Champions
🥇🏆

Alison Rotherham & Belvurn stepped it up a notch on this day to receive level 3 Champion 🥇🏆

Linzi Roos & Raven were again in the placings with a bow for 5th place 🤩

The current standings in the 6 part series have
Holly winning the level 1, Alison winning the level 3 and Linzi coming 3rd in the level 3.

These ladies work so hard and I’m super proud of their achievements so far 🩷🦄

Sahara (Matavia Ninja) is officially sold!
Congratulations to his new owner, who describes him as her “dream horse” 😍🦄

We didn’t even get to the point of officially advertising this beautiful boy, as a deposit was very quickly put down by the first person that came to view him and we were inundated with enquiries from a reel that I posted of him 😅

It’s sad to see him go, but I’m also super excited to continue on the journey with him as coach for him and his new rider 🥰
Can’t wait to see what they achieve together!

**SOLD** To the most amazing forever home! ❤️

Sadly looking for a new home, due to no fault of his own.
16.3hh, 8yo TB gelding, currently out of work for the past year.
Absolute sweetheart, that loves attention and cuddles and has an inquisitive personality. No vices at all.
Originally purchased for myself to event, but have never had the time to keep him consistently in work, as clients’ horses have always had to take priority.
He doesn’t take much to bring back into work and for me, has never shown any nasty or dirty behaviour.
When he has been intermittently in work, he works in a nice frame, with good walk, trot and canter, soft mouth and moves off the leg. I’ve never jumped him, but apparently during his pre training he jumped a bit and showed a lot of talent!
He would suit someone with experience in training OTT horses, with the ambition to event.
Not suitable for beginners or nervous riders.
Honestly, if I had enough paddocks I would happily keep him forever, but I also would love to see him doing something and having a job.
He has been babysitting one of my young ones for the past year.
Currently rugged and hard fed, but in paddock condition. Up to date with teeth, feet and worming.

It was such a fantastic day today, coaching the most lovely ladies in Anglesea!
And… it was predicted to rain ALL day, but we somehow had a beautiful, sunny day bestowed upon us! Winning! 🤩

I was so proud of each rider and the improvement they had made with their horse by the end of the lesson.

As a Coach, it’s so fulfilling to help someone to feel like they understand this challenging dressage stuff just a little bit more clearly.
Also to see them gain confidence and finish the ride with a big smile on their face 🥰🐴❤️

Good day at the office on Saturday, with Holly Hornsey’s Matavia Ninja at the WVDC May dressage competition. The weather gods put on a beautiful sunny day for us too! ☀️

It was this golden boy’s first time stepping up to Elementary and we couldn’t be prouder of him for taking out Champion 🥇🏆, after winning both of his tests. Two judges even gave him a 70% and a 71%.
What a good kid! 🦄💛

Thank you to Western Victorian Dressage Club for running such a lovely show. The atmosphere was super friendly and relaxed. Also to Horseland , for generously sponsoring the classes.

Finally, thank you to Holly for entrusting me with the ride of your beautiful boy and turning him out to perfection on the day 👌🏼

🖤🦄AEA Tuschinski🦄🖤

It’s taken me several days to be able to write this, through many tears.
My heart is broken into a million pieces and I’m still not quite sure how to fathom life without him 💔

On Thursday afternoon we said goodbye to this beautiful boy.
He has been laid to rest in a special place and will always remain in our hearts.
He was The Prince of Wallington Park. My Black Beauty and one of the most quirky, intelligent and challenging horses I’ve ever had the pleasure of riding. I wouldn’t have had him any other way.
Toosh became so a part of my entire world and heart.

He was everything I dreamed of as a little girl..
A stunning black stallion, with 4 white socks and a star. With unbelievable presence, elegance and athleticism to match.

I learnt invaluable lessons from Toosh, and he gave me the gift of getting to compete at FEI.
We had our sights set firmly on GP, but sadly our time together on this earth was cut short and so it wasn’t to be.

A special thank you to his owners Dirk Dijkstra and David Burns for entrusting me with this special stallion and giving me the opportunity to train him. I’m eternally grateful ❤️

Toosh holds a very special place in Dirk’s heart too. Toosh and Metallic are his boys.
Over the years Dirk has had different places to call home, but the one constant thing has always been having these two magnificent Dutch stallions by his side. The three of them like brothers in arms.
Toosh could be very picky about who his people were, but with Dirk he was always confident, calm and himself. The connection between the two of them was unique. They understood and respected each other.

For David, he has always been so proud to share ownership of the two stallions and be a part of everything that they have achieved.
He loved to come and watch the training in the arena and share in the journey.
Toosh was the apple of his eye, but he loved having both of these beautiful stallions at Wallington Park, for the many years that Dirk was based here.
Although in a way it’s the end of an era, Metallic continues this legacy for David and Dirk.

Bred in Holland and sired by Tuschinski (Krack C) out of a Gribaldi mare, Tooshie arrived in Australia as a 3yo and was given the name “AEA Tuschinski”.
He was a spectacular addition to Dirk and David’s partnership/ownership of AEA Metallic.

He competed in young horse classes and then later was brought through the levels by Dirk, who successfully competed Toosh up to FEI Inter 1 level.
Then 4 years ago, after my return from Germany, Dirk handed the ride of Toosh over to me.

Over the years he has been a popular stallion of choice for many breeders.
He stamped his progeny with his elegance and intelligence and of course, that stunning face that I will miss everyday.
Many of them have gone on to be very successful dressage and show horses.

Toosh.. you will be missed so much, my handsome boy. Not just by me, but by Dirk, David, and everyone who had the pleasure of having their lives touched by you over the years. There’s a lot of people in this world that love you.
What I wouldn’t give to have you here with me still and always.

You join my special clan that I wait to be reunited with at that rainbow bridge 🌈
Until then, I’m sure you’re running wild and free up there. With your neck arched, ears pricked and taking your pick of all the mares 🖤🦄

Melbourne International 3 Day Event 2022
~Horseland 4yo Young Event horse~

On Thursday I made a mini return to the dark side 😎 with a last minute ride on Jules Bramucci’s beautiful “Rafiki Epic Deal” or “Rossco” as he is affectionately known.
Rossco is a 2017 gelding by Medalgia D’Oro, out of a Testa Rossa mare.

With Jules out of action after breaking 4 ribs and puncturing a lung, she asked me if I was up for the challenge. So we threw ourselves in the deep end and had 8 rides to cram some training in and get to know each other 😅

*Fun fact.. my last eventing start was Melbourne 3DE 2014 🙊🤣*

Rossco nailed the dressage, leading in 1st place! What a star ⭐️ and finished 4th overall after the jumping phase (pat the horse, smack the rider 🥴).

His success is a testament to all the hard work, love and care that Jules has put into him since he finished his racing career. I can’t speak highly enough of this darling boy’s temperament, talent and trainability.
He’s going to do great things some day and it was an honour to have Jules entrust me with the ride of him and allow me to be apart of his journey.

We had exceptional company with a class filled with fantastic riders and super talented young horses.
Congratulations to the place getters and connections! You all rode beautifully 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Friday night, we were invited back again for the Racing Victoria off the track retrainer showcase.
Rossco was fantastic and as always, so quiet and relaxed. This young horse really does blow my mind with how sensible and kind he is 😍🦄
