Stay safe our cyclone affected friends and brush up on your snake bite first aid. 🫶

Remember to take extreme caution after severe weather ⚠️

Even after storms have passed, snakes can not only be lurking in flood waters, but they can get displaced and end up seeking shelter near people. They may find their way into homes, sheds, or damaged buildings.

If you see a snake:

❌ Don't panic. Most snakes are more scared of you than you are of them. Keep your distance and let them slither on by.
❌ Never try to catch or move a snake yourself, it is usually best to wait for the snake to move away of its own accord.
✔️Keep an eye on it, keep kids and pets away.
✔️Call your local licensed removal specialist.

A reminder that EVERYONE should have a snake bite plan in place.

Braydon Brighton was cutting long grass when he was bitten by a highly venomous brown snake. It was his second brown snake bite and he says he "was a fool" for not having a first aid kit.
