β£οΈ Running contacts β£οΈ
Some love them, some hate them ππ
But I promise you won't regret starting the journey as it is a lot of fun and very addictive training π
I'm planning on starting two running contact classes, one for the DW and one for the Aframe.
This class will be suitable for any of the following:
β
You are new to running contacts and would like to know how to get started
β
You are already following a program but would like some additional feedback
β
You want help to see if your dog meets criteria
β
You need help to adjust the height of the equipment
β
You want to be surrounded by like-minded people
Prerequisite for joining:
πΎ You already have a good understanding of dog agility training
πΎ Your dog is β₯ 12 months old and can work off-leash
πΎ Your dog can drive towards food, treat and train and/or a toy (or we need to work on this first)
The plan will be to have a weekly ~1-1.5 hr class for the DW and a same for the Aframe. Max 4-5 people in each group. Priority will be given to those that would like to come on a regular basis but there will also be the option to have some spots for those that would like to participate less frequently. Estimated cost will be $25 per class.
β‘οΈ Iβm thinking of running a class on early Saturday mornings and Sunday evenings π Possibly a weekday too if there is any interest in that. Please fill in the form: https://forms.gle/3KphJfzXoRiVB9DGA if you would like to participate.
I have so far followed 3 different methods with my dogs, Silvia Trkman (Tim), Isabelle Orenius Emanuelsson (Maddie) and Dave Munnings (Gem β not fully trained yet). All the methods have their pros and cons but I believe there is not one methods that fits all dogs. Dogs are different and it's a matter of finding out what works for them and us π
