Cooler in your car than standing out front and it avoids as much excitement of multiple family waiting outside. Doggos that are storm reactive show increasingly worse storm phobias when there are multiple days in row of storms. Many dogs appreciate a multi pronged approach to intervene in their escalating symptoms of hiding , panting, freaking out, running away, damaging themselves and property. Your vet can prescribe quick acting medication to help out for tomorrow's storm. Also long term medication to retrain anxiety pathways and use complementary interventions like storm shirts, zylkene dietary supplements and calming pheromones. If your dog already reacts to storms it is only going to get worse over time if you don't intervene.
Stoick counter surfed a mango seed off the kitchen bench this evening. Mango seeds are a common cause of intestinal blockages and cause terrible damage to the bowel IF they get past the stomach into the small intestine and get stuck. If you suspect your doggo has eaten a mango seed pls call your vet for advice. I chose to induce vomiting and seed was "delivered" and discarded. @stoickthedal lives to fight another day. 🤤

Ear cleaning for doggos. Simple rules. Treats make it easier. A collar and lead makes it easier. Cotton balls and ear cleaner is king. Wipes cannot get down in the canal far enough. Makeup pads same. If your dog's ears are red, bleeding, sore, really itchy or the skin is really thickened, pls consult your vet.
