Not-so-little MEMPHIS had a couple handling sessions while LAZY D GRACEFULLIE was being rejoined to HANGMAN. He is bold, smart, and very easy natured 👌 Off to their new paddock today!

Tallerack Hangman put together a tidy dry work in the classic challenge for 5th place with 85.5. He ran a 75 in the wet work under lights late last night, unfortunately leaving us one point shy of the top 10! 😂 Shaping up nicely for his derby year next year 🤎

HOTN Classic Challenge Dry Work 2024 Tallerack Hangman - 4yo.

Our broodmare, Mt Echos Regal Optimist - HSH (‘Misty’ 🩶) - 9 years ago! She had a brilliant career while teaching me a lot, from campdrafting to the show ring, and a bunch of open challenge wins in between. She even stepped out into the ASCA arena in their early days, very nearly busting my rookie status way back when. She is a true all-rounder, that also happened to be a multi Supreme Led winner 🤩 I will always remember when Glen borrowed her once for the ‘high roller’ jackpot draft at Tully. Glen is hardly a stranger to speed, having won the fastest course at the Warwick Gold Cup 🏆 on her sire ‘Yallatup Regal Remedy’. After holding my breath for a smoking 89 point run, I just had to ask if he really needed to go that bloody FAST!?!? He shook his head laughing… said he could still hear the wind whistling in his ears!!! Of course I didn’t lend her again… as it looked like my just-started-campdrafting mare was going to be an open horse if I continued to loan her out! Thankfully they were pipped at the post by the last horse out, allowing me many more attempts to improve my campdrafting skills. One of my favourite runs finalled us in the Ladies Silver Cup at our first ever Warwick. Another won us the Ladies at the ASH Nationals in Tamworth on a lively looking red yak that was rather out of place amongst the sea of black. We took it as a sign, being one of the most Northern competitors, and Misty got to use all those extra gears she was born with! 😂

HOTN Rookie Challenge 2024

Absolutely thrilled with Hangman’s ASCA challenge debut, putting a 90.5 together in the HOTN Rookie dry work, for equal 3rd place 🤩

TALLERACK HANGMAN - HSH ⭐️ Results ⭐️ Sarina Touch of Class 2023 - Working Horse Challenge - 1st Led Colt + Champion Led 🏆 1st Novice Working 1st Novice Hack 1st Novice Utility 🏅 OVERALL NOVICE WINNER🏅 Extremely proud of how he worked all day. Did not put a foot wrong… except maybe that one that knocked the jump in the time trial 😆 but I think I’ll forgive him! Massive thank you to SWPEC for putting on great show, and of course all the amazing members and sponsors that make these events happen.
