We operate from purpose-built premises, conveniently located at 14-16 Barber Street in Gunnedah, to continue providing the best possible care for our clients and patients. Our hospital boasts separate dog and cat wards and have two consulting rooms which ensure waiting times are reduced. We have a fully equipped surgery which allows all types of small animal surgery to be completed, including soft

tissue & orthopaedics. Our surgery has all modern monitoring equipment ensuring the best possible care is given to your pet at all times. We also offer in-house imaging facilities including X-Ray, ultrasound & endoscopy. Proud winners of:

As the curtain falls on 2024 we wanted to share with you some of our stats from the year that was!

2025 will bring some new faces to GVH. With this in mind, Dr Chelsea will be taking some time away from vet work to train our new staff and get the team up and running. You will still see Dr Chelsea around the clinic so be sure to say Hi.

We would like to thank each and everyone of you for your ongoing support - its a privilege to partner with you to care for your fur babies. 💙

Whilst fireworks are fun for humans, they can sometimes be very stressful and confusing for our pets. Here are a few tips to help keep them safe and secure during this time -
🔹 Plan ahead and keep your pets secured inside your home. Even dogs in fenced yards find ways to escape the scary sounds.
🔹 Give them a safe place to hide. You can set up a comfortable room or crate in your house just for them. Make sure blinds and windows are closed.
🔹 Use ambient noise to mask the fireworks. Often a radio or a TV on can help eliminate the scary noises.
🔹 Skip the celebrations and stay home with your pet. Sometimes your presence makes all the difference.

Tomorrow we will farewell our beautiful receptionist - Lauren. 😢

For the past 19 months Lauren has been the friendly face that greets you when you walk in the door or the calm voice on the phone when you need assistance. Working in a busy hospital is challenging for many reasons -
It definitely can be like a roller coaster and we have all shared many laughs and tears along the way. 🩷 Thankyou for all your hard work, for keeping us all on track and helping us be as organised as possible... We will miss you!!

This little angel is Angie! She came to us in a spot of trouble but after some TLC she is ready for a loving family to scoop her up. Angie’s adoption fee is $211 which covers her first vax, microchip, flea and worming and desexing once she is old enough. Coming into this busy time of year we have seen an increase in demand for our grooming services, and as such have a long waiting list. We’d like to thank all our clients for their patience with us at this time. As you know we are first and foremost a veterinary hospital and offer grooming services for our patients who require that little extra care and sedation for grooming procedures. Please know we are doing our best to accommodate grooming clients, whilst still providing top notch veterinary care for the animals of Gunnedah.
