💦 Help your horse stay hydrated, healthy and happy in the heat with these top tips:

1. Always Provide Fresh, Clean Water
Dehydration is serious, so your horse must always have access to clean water. Horses need around 30-50 litres per day; even more when it’s hot.

2. Add Electrolytes for Extra Hydration
Electrolytes are essential for replenishing the salts your horse loses during sweating and exercise. Pryde’s EasiLyte is specifically formulated to replace electrolytes lost in sweat and support hydration. Easilyte can be added to any ration.

3. Use Simple Hydration Tests
These quick checks can help you spot dehydration before it becomes serious:

Capillary Refill Test: Press on their gums and check how long it takes for the pink colour to return. It should return in 1-2 seconds.

Skin Pinch Test: Gently pinch the skin on their neck or shoulder. If it doesn’t snap back quickly, your horse may be dehydrated.

What does "truly grain free" mean? To be "truly" grain free a feed must also be free from grain by-products. This is especially important if your horse has metabolic issues or prone to laminitis.
