🪱FREE Heartworm Testing 🪱

There have been several confirmed heartworm cases in the area ⚠️ Did you know if not protected, your pets could be at risk of contracting hearworm infection ‼️

Heartworms live in the animals blood vessels including the ❤️ and 🫁 and is transmitted by mosquitoes 🦟 between animals.

Symptoms include-
🔶Coughing
🔶exercise intolerance
🔶weight loss
Treatment involves a very lengthy course of injections 💉 but can be risky and occasionally heartworm infections can be fatal.
Prevention is always better than a cure!
❇️We are offering free heartworm testing with any consult up until 31st January 2025!
❇️ FREE puppy SR12 heartworm 🪱 prevention injections at their 2nd vaccination 💉

The worm season is now in full swing - now is the time to not only monitor worm counts in your animals but recheck those counts following drenching to get a good understanding of the efficacy of the drenches on your farm.
We now offer counts for sheep, cattle and horses so get collecting 💩 🪱

CLINIC CLOSED from next Wednesday 21st of August as the team crosses the ditch to participate in a working dog conference in Queenstown. The clinic will reopen on Monday 26 August.
Please note that we will also have no after hours service during the closure period.
