A gorgeous update from one of my last litters... it fills my heart getting updates.
Hi Jen,
Hope you’re doing well! We just wanted to send you an update on our boy Toji (Geovani) now that he’s just over 6 months old.
We honestly can’t thank you enough for giving us such an incredible pup, he’s slotted into our lives so easily, it feels like he was always meant to be here. He’s completely taken charge too… not just of our house, but also Josh’s parents’!
Toji graduated from puppy school at 4 months and absolutely loved it, he couldn’t get through the door fast enough each week. He was by far the biggest pup in class (even though they were all around the same age), and definitely the most talkative, telling all his classmates how to get the most attention (Embarrassing for us..)
He’s growing into a big, strong boy, at 6.5 months he’s already 29kg, taller than his Aunty Phoebe (the 4-year-old Golden Retriever) and towering over most dogs in the neighbourhood. No one believes us when we say he’s only 6 months old!
He’s also quite the talker... We’ve never had a dog who chats like this one! He cracks us up constantly. He loves to “tell” his grandparents next door all about his day, argues back when you’re trying to tell him off, and gives very clear instructions when it’s walk time. He’s got his daily routine down to the minute and won’t let us forget it.
Toilet training was a breeze, only a few accidents early on (mostly our fault for not getting to the door fast enough). Now he tells us loud and clear when he needs to go. He’s slept through the night since he was 10 weeks old, never once cried in his crate (which he loved), and has now graduated to our bed and taken full residence on Josh's side. Morning cuddles are mandatory before the day begins.
He walks off-leash so well, constantly checking in to make sure we are still behind and following along. He loves meeting new people and other furry friends and he absolutely LOVES chasing birds, rabbits and his doggy friends on walks. Pictured is his new friend Peggy, the black Labrador, both 6 months old!
Do some of these personality traits sound familiar with your doggies?
He is normal size for a swiss shepherd at this age? And do your swissies like to carry around a soft toy when meeting people in the house, or when its time to go to the toilet? Because the plushie puppy must come along every time for toilet breaks.
Toji is everything we hoped for and more. He’s brought so much love, laughter, and personality into our lives. Thank you again for raising such wonderful pups, we feel so lucky to have him.
Enjoy a few snaps of Toji living his best life!
Cheers,
Jess, Josh & Toji 🐾
