PET FRIENDLY EVACUATION CENTRES
Have a plan in place with your friends and family if you do need to evacuate. If you can't find safe accommodation with your pets, the following centres are accepting animals. Please refer to the council dashboard for up-to-date information.

ENSURE YOUR PET HAS IDENTIFICATION
If your pet becomes lost in severe weather, having appropriate ID can help them be reunited safely. Is your pet microchipped and has a collar with ID?

TIPS TO ENSURE YOUR PETS ARE SAFE
🏡 Create a safe and secure space for all of your animals
🐴 Watch out for debris, incoming waters and unsafe damage to surrounding properties
🐶 Don’t tether pets if outside - they may do themselves more harm trying to break free.
💧 Provide access to water and food in heavy bowls if outdoors.
🐱 Keep your pets (including cats) indoors.

🐨 Injured & sick wildlife can be brought directly to our Wacol Wildlife Hospital (if safe to do so) if you're in Brisbane. Otherwise Australia Zoo on the Sunshine Coast. Please call our RSPCA Emergency Hotline on 1300 ANIMAL (264 625) or email [email protected] if the phone lines are down, 7am to 7pm for advice, or your local wildlife group. Please be aware that our services are limited during severe weather.
