Family team that live and breathe everything canine and bovine. Jenrowan is located just north of Toowoomba in sunny Queensland.

Our dogs are our passion and are treated as such, with it all beginning in 2011.
- We started raising our puppies through Puppy Culture in 2018. Developed by Jane Lindquist, this program actively develops well rounded, social puppies whilst still ensuring the individual dog can develop at their own pace. With every litter we improve in our abilities and our puppies benefit from that.
- Our dogs a

re true family members, living inside and being a part of everyday life. Our holidays are planned dog friendly and they love day to day farm jobs.
- As we compete in Rally Obedience, Obedience and Trick Dog Trials we dedicate time and effort to training our dogs.
- Our breeding dogs are full DNA profiled for diseases and colours being cleared for PRA and SDMD.
- We select heavily on temperament and sound confirmation as both are as equally important in companion animals. We aim to breed true to type doxies with athleticism and durability that are overall easy going, healthy family members.

Road tripping through Queensland this year? Keep an eye out for biosecurity signs when navigating roads! 🛑👀

It’s important to check your mobile navigation apps have selected the correct route before setting off. Make sure you:

✅ read property signs and follow all instructions
✅ contact local farms ahead if you wish to visit
✅ stay on public roads, even if your GPS tells you otherwise
✅ enjoy the beauty of our countryside without entering private property.

Be aware of ‘Private Property' or 'Biosecurity Zone' signs. These warnings help to protect our agriculture, environment and communities. 🌾🐄

If we ignore these signs, we risk spreading pests and diseases that can devastate crops and livestock, affecting our food supply and economy. 📉

🐨 With a constant koala population in one corner of the property we thought it imperative to do our little bit and utilise the koala trees available through our local landcare group.
🪴We tackled a small but manageable number and as you can see the kids can’t wait for the koalas to be able to eat them 🪴We encourage anyone who has somewhere to plant a koala tree to do so.

A dedicated breeder who cares for their dogs and the future life of their pups, will always ask lots of questions when considering applications from interested buyers for one of their pups.
The puppy buyer should see this as a sign that they are buying from someone who has the best interests of the puppy at heart. In fact if the breeder you are speaking with does not ask questions about the type of home you will provide, then that should be a red flag warning to you as the buyer!

Reputable breeders will welcome new owners to part of their extended “dog family” and will offer life time support, answer any questions and will want to know if any change of circumstances may affect the buyers ability to care for the pup and will usually offer to take the dog back rather than see it go to a rescue organisation.
So don’t be offended if you are asked lots of questions! It’s all about finding the best home for the dog as every dog deserves a loving home 😻

Our Story

Jenrowan Horses & Hounds is located in the small rural town of Haden, on the Darling Downs in Queensland. Mother and Daughter team (Jen & Tyla) run commercial Droughtmaster x Angus cattle with commercial bulls available for sale. Breed, train and show Small and Little Horses. Breed and offer stud services for miniature smooth-coat dachshunds. We are passionate about our animals and they are literally our furbabies. Our dogs get to enjoy their lives running around all day being normal active canines, socialising out at events and becoming accustomed to a variety of animals on the farm. We take the upmost pride and care in the animals we offer for sale or stud service use. Confirmation, temperament, longevity and overall happiness are values we abide by and uphold.
