We love supporting local and grass roots here at Hallmark Farm and Megan Jones Equestrian Training - MJET
Our ESA Interschool State Championships rely heavily on sponsors to make the event a success, and their support is crucial in preparing our team for Nationals. Megan Jones Eventing Team and James from Hallmark Farmwere proud sponsors in 2024, playing a vital role in not just the championships but also in the development of our riders and horses.
Hallmark Farm and the Team played a crucial role in preparing one of our very special ponies on the Team, Jumping Rocky Peanut.
Just three weeks before Nationals, Rocky suffered a bout of laminitis, leaving him struggling to walk, let alone endure an 18-hour journey in a float and compete. Despite being placed on stable rest and receiving medication from the vet, there was minimal improvement in his condition.
In a final effort to help him recover, Rocky was sent for an extended stay at Hallmark Farm. This decision was crucial, as the team at Hallmark Farm specialise in rehabilitating horses with similar issues. With their dedicated care and specialised equine facilities, including mineral spas and tailored exercise programs, there was hope that Rocky could regain his strength in time for the competition.
Rockyโs recovery was nothing short of miraculous, thanks to the dedicated care and innovative treatments at Hallmark Farm. With daily mineral spas, he regained not only his strength but also his vitality. The addition of the water treadmill played a vital role in rebuilding his movement, allowing him to develop muscle without the strain of traditional exercise.
When Rockyโs owners shared the news that he had been cleared to travel and compete in Tamworth, we were ecstatic. His journey to Nationals was a testament to the power of specialised care and support from the Hallmark Farm team.
Even more impressive, Rocky returned from Nationals in excellent condition, proving that the combination of mineral spas, water treadmill sessions, and red-light therapy can significantly benefit not just horses in recovery but also those preparing for upcoming competitions.
Annabelle Knowlesโs horse, Sandon Grove Bobby Royal, exemplifies this proactive approach to equine health. After a long trip home from Tamworth, Bob went straight into the mineral spa, a ritual Annabelle has committed to for her beloved horse. She understands the importance of keeping Bob fit and healthy, ensuring he receives a mineral spa or water treadmill sessions on a weekly basis.
These treatments are essential not only for recovery but also for enhancing performance and longevity in our equine partners. The benefits are clear: with the right care, horses can thrive, ready to take on new challenges with strength and enthusiasm.
Thank you, Megan Jones and James for your ESA Interschool 2024 Sponsorship and for supporting so many of our Team SA riders and horses. We are very fortunate to have these incredible facilities in the Adelaide Hills.
