These two cuties have grown A LOT in a week-, and it turns out we have two boys not two girls - yes I know, you’d think I could tell by now 🙂 but a quick check when they’re hungry and scared does not always work 🤷🏻‍♀️

But here we are to introduce Samson (AKA Sammy) on the right and Popeye (AKA Poppy) on the left, two absolute sweeties who’ll be on the lookout for their forever family in around 3 weeks time

OMG I was not expecting 8!

This sweet young mum was rescued a few weeks ago when already very pregnant. Yesterday these bundles of cuteness arrived 💕💕 they are with a lovely foster carer and so far mum, all 8 babies and foster mum are all doing amazing.

In a couple of months time we eill be on the lookout for a lot of loving forever homes, until then we will be posting cuteness overload on a regular basis 🙂

Just too cute 💕 no names yet, two little girls whose mum is a stray. She found what she must have thought was a safe space to have her kittens (in someone’s roof). but then they fell down into the wall cavity once they started walking around. The house owner pulled a few weather boards off his house to find them when he heard them. He got the kittens to safety here at the Good Place, and is hoping to trap mum to reunite them, no luck so far though, but we’ll give her another couple of days at least. 🤞🤞

This gorgeous boy is Kreme. He’s two years old and in search of new digs.

Unfortunately, he can’t come here to the Good Place as there are already a number of springtime hormone-pumped boys running around here strutting their stuff, and a newcomer would likely move the chaos dial from mere madhouse to full blown asylum.

But he also cannot stay where he is as he does his job of protecting his girls a little too well.

If anyone can offer this lad a safe place to land please get in touch

I can’t believe where this year has gone, but here at the Good Place we have turned our thoughts to Christmas crafts.

This year we have moved away from our online shop - I just wasn’t finding the time to keep everything updated, and have instead selected a couple of our many wonderful local markets to hold a stall.

A big thank you to The Vet Project who spent some time with us this week. Over their two days here they provided cheap desexing for 14 cats and 15 dogs - that’s a lot of unwanted puppies and kittens that will never be born in and around Hamilton!

Archie got his wish for another little lamb to arrive to be his buddy 🙂

Lillibet arrived on Friday night. She was very hypothermic and to be honest I wasn’t sure she’d pull through. But she’s a determined lass and with many hours by the fire wrapped in an electric blanket with hot water bottles surrounding her for good measure, and with glucose regularly administered throughout those hours she turned the corner

She’s not quite the best buddy Archie wanted at this point, but he will win her over in a couple of days I’m sure 💕

It’s very quiet here now - everyone has found a lovely home of their own and all headed off with at least one of their friends - a wonderful outcome for the year, thank you to all our adopters, I am certain you’ll have many years of woolly cuddles to come 💕💕

And then… look who arrived, 2025 is not quite done yet 🤣

Welcome Archie - even though you have all that space by the fire, it’s clear like all lambs you prefer to share your space. Not to worry, Zoe and Hank are more than happy to oblige
