Good morning Jackson - it turns out you slept like the baby you are, not a squeak until 6:30 this morning, but once you’re awake you’re not going to let anyone forget it 💕💕

We interrupt your regular viewing to bring you a photo of this adorable lamb who stopped by HWS briefly.
A traveller almost hit this lamb on the road. Newborn, cold and alone. He scooped the lamb up and carried onwards. After some time (1hr+), he stopped at a petrol station and said "I have no idea what to do with this lamb? 🤷‍♀️" 😆
Thank you Brianna and Tanya for stepping in and arranging for this little guy to get some help.
Lamby is very healthy and strong, and now in the wonderful hands of Tracie over at Good Place Sanctuary ♡

Shout out to Animal Rescues Appeal who sent us a huge bag of goodies, toys, treats, blankets, coats and even some lollies for me 🙂 it’s taken me a few days to get it unpacked but had lots of helpers wanting to road test the new toys today

It’s been a very quiet start to lamb season here, but as it gets colder it’s likely they will start to arrive regularly.

Our two most recent are:

Kira, a brand new little girl found by a kind passer-by with her dead mum. Now nearly two weeks old, she is thriving. Caught on camera as she snuggled up for an evening nap, she is definitely living her best life 😊

Leo is not so lucky. He is a teeny little one, probably 2-3 days old, found by his farmer close to death next to his mum with a terrible head injury. He most definitely was not going to survive the night without help, so here he is, warm and snug at the Good Place. It’s not clear if he’s going to pull through yet, but we’ll do everything we can to help him. 💕

Hank and Mouse, the gorgeous black and white duo from the litter of 4 that arrived a couple of weeks ago are now on the hunt for their very own forever home.

Hank is the bravest boy, nearly all black with beautiful green eyes, Hank does everything at top speed. He was the first of the 4 to decide humans weren’t so bad after all, the first to explore new spaces, meet new four legged friends, come looking for pats and cuddles and say hello when I come home after being outside.

Mouse is a shy boy, with lovely tuxedo markings, he will grow to be bigger than Hank I think. But really he likes to follow in Hank’s shadow, waiting to be sure Hank thinks things are ok before he ventures in.

In a perfect world Hank and Mouse will find a home together where they can be spoilt and doted on for the entirety of their long and healthy lives. If we can’t find them that, Mouse will be best suited to a calm household where he can gradually build his confidence while growing into the chill, loving companion I know he will be. Hank, on the other hand, will be perfectly happy with noise and kids and the general chaos that family life brings with it.

As always, while we don’t charge an adoption fee, Hank and Mouse will both need desexing and are due for their first vaccinations now and vet fees aren’t cheap so please keep that in mind when considering if one or both of these boys are right for you

Introducing the Blues Brothers, B1 and B2, these two young Muscovy drakes arrived here a few months ago as ducklings after a fox made its way through their flock leaving them alone and still to young to live without mum.

They are now happy energetic boys who are in search of their forever home.

It is rare to see two such beautifully coloured boys. They are best friends and do everything together. They would make perfect backyard pets, helping to keep the snail numbers down, and helping out with the gardening. They are used to dogs, cats, chickens, etc and get along with everyone, so long as they’re not being chased. They would also fit in perfectly if you have a group of Muscovy girls looking for their perfect man.

They won’t be rehomed for eating. They need a secure fox proof place to rest at night and constant access to water (a kids paddling pool is all they need though).

How cute are these guys!

4 little 6-7 week old babies dumped at a local sports club. They are scared and confused but otherwise in good health. I think a week or two settling in and getting used to being spoilt rotten should see them ready to find their own special families.

Our gorgeous little girl Mo is finally grown up enough to be looking for her own special family. Mo is 8 weeks old and has been bottle raised since she was born as her mum didn’t produce any milk.

Mo, her mum, and her brother arrived here at the Good Place in very poor condition, riddled with fleas and worms, and very unwell. Sadly Mo’s brother didn’t make it. But Mo and mum are now strong, healthy and loving life.

Mo is very used to other cats, and is comfortable around dogs, chickens, ducks and other critters. She is also quite shy and would probably be best suited to a quieter household.

She is house trained, fully weaned and ready to meet her forever family. If that could be you please reach out, and if not please share to help find this beautiful girl the home she deserves.

While we don’t charge for adoptions, Mo will require desexing, vaccinating and microchipping, which is not cheap. So please keep that in mind when considering if she might be your new best friend.

They definitely don’t come much cuter than the adorable Bella - a teeny little 2 day old dorper lamb 💕💕
Bella is a twin, her mum and sister are healthy but Bella appears to be blind and her mum refused to care for her.
She is only with me for a day or so until she is transported to Melbourne where the lovely folk from Lamb Care Australia will pair her up with another little one the same age and get her in to a specialist vet to check out her eyes.
In the meantime though - I will enjoy all the lamb cuddles I can get 💕💕
