Today we had the honour of having Dr Julian from our Vic Park Vet Clinic performing a Tibial tuberosity avulsion fracture repair on 4 month old Toby at our Harvey Vet Clinic today. Toby has recovered well from his procedure and we can’t wait to see his progress

This week's temperatures are set to soar across WA.

We are asking all pet owners to remember that animals need protection from extreme weather too!

We have listed some top tips to keep your pets cool this summer!

✅Make sure pets have access to shade, or better yet, bring them inside.
✅Make sure there are multiple bowls of cool water available.
✅DO NOT tie dogs up and leave them unsupervised – we have seen cases where their leads are too short, leaving them to not be able to access any shade or water which has led to heatstroke deaths.
✅Ensure rabbits, guinea pigs and rats have frozen water bottles to keep themselves cool.
✅LEAVE YOUR DOG AT HOME! Dogs die in hot cars – it is not safe to leave your dog in the car, even while quickly ducking into the shop.

Please do not walk your pet in the heat of the day! If you can’t leave your hand on the road or footpath comfortably for five seconds, then their paws will burn!

If you see a dog in a hot car, note down the vehicle's registration number and location and report it immediately.

Finally!! The time has come to the community of Harvey
We will be opening our doors to all your fur babies on Wednesday the 11th of October.
Our opening hours are 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday. You can see our Passionate Vet Dr Emma on Wednesdays and Fridays and in the new year we will increase our availability.
Ring 9787 2816 to make an appointment or come in and meet the team.
We can't wait to meet you and your fur babies at their first appointment.
