Green Brothers Racing is a Thoroughbred training team led by Peter D Green (Trainer) and Clint Green

This week we got the news that Butch’n’Bugs or Changa as he is well known would be retired.

What an amazing career he has had, from the day GBR bought him over 7 years ago for $3k, he has been a stable favourite.

Named after combining our two childhood nicknames, he has amassed almost $250k in prize money, but the journey was much more than that.
Changa has created a following from owners, friends and even outside racing enthusiasts over the last 5 years.
We are so proud of him and the amazing job Pete and Joel have done with him throughout his career.

Killer Kerr is back racing this season and looks to have come back in great order with a nice 3rd today at Wyong.

With young gun apprentice Braith Nock on board Sami hit the line impressively.

GBR can’t wait to see her get out over further ground in her next couple of starts.

GBR had a great day with our owners at Hawkesbury yesterday with both Exothrill and Killer Kerr having very encouraging runs.

Later in the afternoon we turned our attention to Butch’n’Bugs racing in the Maclean Cup at Grafton.
To be honest we weren’t expecting to win as we know Changa loves the cut out of the ground. With the track being a Good3 we just weren’t that confident. One thing we should never do is underestimate this horse, he is a superstar.

Anyway, just watch the replay to view an amazing ride and awesome training performance from Joel.

Not a bad buy for a $3k purchase who has now amassed over $225k in prizemoney.

Yesterday, Killer Kerr wins at Nowra and today we bought a beautiful Star Turn filly at the Classic Sale.

We cant wait to race this filly with our fantastic group of owners.

Congratulations to our fantastic owners who are just enjoying an amazing ride with her.

Sami was so strong again today with an excellent ride by Robyn, she extended over the last 100m to reel in the leader when it just didn’t seem possible.

Wishing Changa, Joel and Luke all the very best today.

Butch’n’Bugs goes around in the Listed Sunshine Coast Cup R8 at 5:30pm.

While we were hoping for plenty of rain and a heavy track, the weather has gone the other way and it’s looking like a G4 this afternoon.
