Today marks 7️⃣ years since I started ‘Hair of the Dog Grooming’ and it’s certainly been one of the best decisions I’ve made!
Thank you to all my beautiful caring and loyal clients, many who have been with me from the beginning.
Let’s hope the next 7 years are as fun and fulfilling as the last.
Again a big thank you to everyone for the amazing support over the years. 🐶🥳🎉

Senior pet pawrents, this one’s for you guys.
🐾 As the weather cools down, we’re often asked to do only trims so dogs can keep fur throughout the cold months. Unfortunately, we will not be performing longer/styled grooms on seniors due to the stress.
Preparation of the fur requires dogs to be washed, dried fully, brush & combed out before the clippers can touch the fur.
This is often a trigger for dryer seizures with dogs often struggling to stand, joints ache & dogs become snappy & stressed.
It is short cuts all year around for our seniors because we believe comfort is the most important type of grooming for seniors.

Throughout winter we recommend keeping your senior warm, indoors with a cosy jumper on and fluffy bed to ensure they are warm and comfortable 🩶 if we feel like your senior is not a candidate for longer cuts, we will discuss the options with you 🙂

📢📢 PAYMENT OF SERVICES📢📢

Whilst I try to keep things easy for everyone with the payment options of bank transfer, cash or card payments using the Square, it seems I often have to chase payments.

Moving forward, clients who pay by transfer will now receive an invoice via Square after there confirmation text. Payment of the invoice either that night or the day of the groom would be greatly appreciated. When payment is made I will receive a notification which will help cut down admin time.

This will help with keeping the business running smoothly and me, being able to provide all products needed to groom your beloved pooches. Unfortunately, I don’t have the luxury of paying for products after I receive them.

Happy New Years Eve🎉🥂

I’m taking this opportunity to thank my clients for supporting me and my business throughout 2024.
The last couple of months were tough with dad becoming unwell and then him passing away. Everyone was so patient and supportive whilst I navigated through it and I’m very appreciative of this.

Wherever or whatever you are doing tonight, have fun but please remember to keep our pets safe tonight with the fireworks being let off 🎇🎆

From my family to yours we are wishing you all a safe, happy, healthy & prosperous 2025 & I look forward to seeing everyone in the New Year.

Do you have a microchip scanner and regularly scan lost dogs and cats? Within minutes, we look up microchips 8am-10pm EVERY DAY and generate Found Pet Posters

2024 done and dusted!

After such a busy year with its highs and lows, it’s time for a well earned break to relax and recharge.

We are now closed and will be back on the road Monday 6th January 2025.

Thank you to everyone for your lovely kind, heartfelt words with dad’s passing. It’s very touching to have such beautiful people in my life, personal & business. ❤️

We will be celebrating dad’s life next Friday 29th. With this I’ll be shuffling Fridays appointments to other days this week, so I’ll be touching base by text to those it effects.
