Meet “Dug” the golden retriever pup. Dug is doing really well with his foundation skills and early socialisation. Today we did some socialisation around chickens, ducks, cats and new people. We also introduced the ”leave it” command and few other little tricks to tackle common puppy problems.

Step 1. a couple of walks in a neutral space Step 2. Meeting at a distance
Step 3. Meeting with a barrier
Step 4. Small introductions in loose lead
Step 5. Supervised off lead time

Toasts second time doing water retrieves.

Toast 60m straight retrieve. She’s needs to wait until I give her the go command and then come directly back to me. On this retrieve she also ran straight past our chickens
