This is Rozzie and Bronze Boy R at the 2024 Saddlefitter Brisbane CDI 12-15 September. Bronze Boy R or Bucky as he is known in the stables, is by Byalee Briar out of Red Legs R (Regardez Moi). Bucky was bred at Ryans and has been my special horse since he was a foal.
This video was put together by Unicorn Video Productions and gifted to Rozzie by Mary. Thank you very much.
Bucky was until recently my 4* Eventer and he has won a 4* event. Whilst competing eventing I did realise he was a talented dressage horse and kept the dressage discipline developing simultaneously. I did campaign him in the CDI3* Grand Prix class at Dressage by the Sea at Willinga Park 22-25 February 2024. Bucky went fabulously well but I as a rider was awful and made two course errors in the Grand Prix Special which resulted in elimination. Idiot! Anyway, Bucky made it very clear how talented he was and compatible with Grand Prix he is, and I got sacked. I am not quite sure how that works but that is what happened and somehow he is now Rozzie’s horse!
Rozzie and Bucky are now seriously on the International Big Tour circuit and improving like mad. It will be fascinating to see where this goes.

Christmas carols boom out across our fairly fancy sound system starting at 5am this morning. In the video you can see the Ryan’s girls fiddling around with a bit of a musical ride to the Christmas carols. Once the morning ride was finished we do push the sound up so the Christmas carols can be heard across most of the property and also heard by a good number of our neighbours. Our next door neighbours here in Heatherbrae are indeed a stones throw from either side of the indoor school. At this end of the property is it pretty well suburbia. So far touchwood, we have never had a neighbour complain about the volume of our Christmas carols starting 5am on Christmas morning. 😂

Update on our orphan foal Quest for Magic R.
The first post of her on our page was when she was four days old and her mum had just died. Quite frankly the chances of her surviving were not great. People keep asking how the story has developed and often people are a little bit apprehensive asking because of what the answer might be. Quest for Magic R or Maggie as the girls have called her is now 3 months and 8 days old. Well the answer is she is now queen of the stables and gets very angry if she is not fed on time. She is let out of the stable every morning and she supervises the mucking out of all the other stables. She does a daily check in on all the other horses in the stables and as you can see in the video, is just full of life. She is a magnificent filly and when we are showing people around our horses for sale - she invariably steals the show. There are moments when the girls all have to run for cover when Maggie gets over enthusiastic. She is a real character and we love her.
