It's been a journey with big Marco the Maremma!
Less that stellar start to life led to mistrust in an already solitary breed. At first, it was a two person job just getting him in the trailer. Then, I had to get in the bath with him (a sight to behold!) to very suspicious side eyes, Dachshund style!
After three years, I have earned Marco's trust and we both enjoy the affection of bath time every month
