Once again Oaklea just goes above and beyond for the students she works with, and me of course..

This afternoon we got to attend the Fraser Coast Anglican College Lip Sync battles. There was a few students that were overwhelmed by it all (understandable) it was very loud, lots of noises, music, chanting, screaming, laughing etc and other than checking on her kids and me, she slept through most of it! How??? I actually don’t know!

She just amazes me every single day at how amazingly calm, relaxed & devoted to her job she is!

She got rewarded with a game of tug and play with a few students which she absolutely loved and it is a vital part in her wellbeing after such a big event 🙏 even tho the jacket came off she still knew she was “working” so was very calm and gentle with the students 🥰

Couldn’t ask for a better dog - this is why a purpose bred dog speaks for them self, obviously the training has a big part in it but hand in hand you get incredible little beings 😍🙏

What an amazing morning at Fraser Coast Anglican College

The famous “Miss Bailea - AKA the OG” came in for a visit and it was just so amazing how many staff, teachers and students were so excited to see my beautiful girl. She is definitely the favourite of our crew even tho the others are younger, softer, bigger etc she will always remain the favourite of our team!

She is just so special and makes everyone feel loved. There was so many
“OMG it’s Bailea”, “Baileas back” , “my favourite dog is here” 🥹

She even went into the office and had a happy bark and staff came out of their offices as they heard “her bark” which was so sweet 🐾

We also found out this morning from some students that our beautiful girls are featured on the back of the 2025 school diary 😍🥹

A few students pointed out to Bailea today that she was smack bang in the middle of the pic! she was so happy 🥰

We are so grateful to be apart of such a fantastic school & community that appreciate our dogs as much as we do ❤️🐾

I get so many people, teachers, staff & the general public tell me how much they now want a golden retriever because they have met our wonderful girls, or even come to me with a new puppy saying we wanted one like yours.

Let me just set something straight… while we feel so honoured that you want a pup like ours they aren’t just from any random golden retriever breeder. They are from generations of proven lines, they have been selectively bred to produce dogs like our girls, and not only that but our girls have been extensively trained to be the amazing girls they are.. so if you are wanting a dog/ pup like ours, please reach out to me and I can point you in the right direction of breeders that breed for a purpose, breed to better the dog, all health testing done to ensure you are getting a well bred, well tempered pup suited JUST FOR YOU. Not just a pup you found for sale on gumtree or one that was available. These dogs have big waitlists due to their extensive lines and knowledge from the breeders, rarely can you just go and pick one up and if you do they probably aren’t the right pup for you.

Breeders pick puppies for the families, that suit their needs of drive, calmness, trainability and so much more. Not just “you like this one, sure it’s yours”

They aren’t just “made like that” the training is a critical part in it all aswell.

Take the time to research your breeder, what they do, how their adults are raised etc, health tests, are they registered with a governing body to ensure standards of ethical breeding etc

We are excited to have our own breeding program starting to produce more of these incredible dogs with a purpose 🐾❤️

NOT ALL DISABILITIES ARE VISABLE!!!

just because someone looks ok physically doesn’t mean you can assume they don’t need medical aids. There is so many people living with invisible disabilities that no one will ever understand or be able to comprehend or see!!

Medical aids for some are furry, have 4 legs, a wagging tail and can help in ways no human ever can. We call these heroes - aka Assistance or Service dogs.

So before you go assuming people look fine and don’t need an assistance dog/animal- stop judging, be polite and go on with your day -simple ‼️

If you are a business owner, worker, support worker, or just the general public do your self a favour and jump onto Working Animals Federation of Australia and have a read of what assistance animals are, what they do and where they can go and what you can do to accomodate teams.
Education is the key in our industry to keep everyone safe from discrimination. 🐾

PLEASE Share this far & wide to spread awareness of our wonderful heroes with paws and their amazing handlers that have to live with some pretty unimaginable things - some of which are unseen 🐾

Your probs all wondering what about Bailea…

Bailea deserves her own post ❤️

Bailea has also done a lot of hard work and gained her certificate as a Fully Trained Therapy Dog.

Although Bailea has been fully trained since she started, I still put her through the same training as the girls.

Bailea is the OG, as she is lovingly know by a lot of people.. the girl that started it all. Without Bailea I don’t know where I would be. She has the most outgoing loving nature, always ensures everyone is greeted with a super wiggly bum & plenty of slobbery kisses 🤣 plus all of her amazingly cool tricks she can do.. she absolutely loves greeting everyone especially the little ones (I think because they are her height and she can give sneaky kisses with ease 😝)

However… as my Bailea girl is getting older, she unfortunately isn’t a spring chicken anymore (although she does act like it sometimes) so this year is going to be a bit slower for my old girl. She will still come to visits but I will be taking it at her pace, she is still fully able & healthy to do the work but some days her body just doesn’t feel like it and that is ok! That is why the welfare of our dogs is our top priority - even tho I get the sad puppy dog eyes for not taking her.. 🥹

So while Bailea takes the back seat for alot of our visits this year (enjoying the aircon at home & lots of extra cuddles and snacks - shhhh don’t tell the others 😝) she has taught both Oaklea & Ellea how to be the bestest therapy dogs and without her Things would be different. She will still be coming along to teach our youngest pups the ropes (Hollea & Riplee) So don’t be sad that you don’t see her as often, but she will still come and spread her infectious love 🐾

Okay guys, it’s about time I share some exciting news…. 🫣

As you all know over the past nearly 2 years, our beautiful little (big) fluff balls Oaklea & Ellea have been working so hard with all their visits and training, and over the Christmas Holidays they had finished up everything they needed to become Fully Trained Therapy Dogs. Although we all knew they were amazing from the start, I as the Owner and Trainer of Inspire Therapy & Assistance Dogs still needed to ensure they had completed all of their training & met all of the requirements to become “fully trained”, as it is not something taken lightly within our company and they don’t just have to have a nice temperament to pass.. a lot more goes into it when it’s done properly and the proof is in our dogs.

As this is no easy task to fully train a therapy dog, it can take anywhere from 18months-3 years. So I have been assessing these 2 beautiful girls since they were 8weeks old, at every visit, all our training sessions & outings to ensure we are providing our services with the best dogs possible. Not only all the training that goes into our dogs, but they are purpose bred for the work, so it’s in their genes to be amazing, but just because they are bred for the work, does not mean they automatically are trained, we have had to put in the hard yards!

So Thankyou so much to Handler Leanne, for alll her hard work and dedication to training Ellea, and Thankyou to all the people that have had a part in the girls training - staff, students, workers and even some of my training clients.

Oaklea & Ellea have definitely paved the way for our future, and the young and upcoming pups have some massive shoes to fill when they get to that stage. 5years of planning and a lot of bloody hard work has finally paid off but this is just the beginning… there is soooo much more in the works for us this year ❤️

I tell all my clients to take their own water for their dog everywhere they go and NOT to let them drink from communal bowls so it prevents this!

Keep your dogs safe & take your own water & bowl!

Not only does it stop things like this happening. It also prevents any diseases or illness spreading between dogs..

along with ensuring your dogs don’t get upset tummies from different water for example my dogs get tank water at home so to them, tap water may make them have an upset tummy due to different chemicals in the water as opposed to the strait rain water they are used to 😞

What a night!!

Some of our team ventured out to “Christmas Street - Westminster Court Kawungan” this year & boy did the dogs get some love, but even better, they gave out so much more 😍

From the noises to lights, blow ups, lots of people, all 4 dogs took it all in their stride & had the best night! Even meeting up with a puppy that we knew from puppy class, oaklea & Ellea even layed down with a few young kids for cuddles which was super cute! And so many people wanted pics with our Therapy Dogs 🥰

It was so lovley to hear so many kids say “oh there’s our therapy dogs”
And the amount of compliments we got on how well behaved the dogs were and how amazing it was to see how many smiles they put on peoples face was just amazing 🙏

Makes it all worth it plus so much more!

I am so humbled to be able to share such happiness & wonderful dogs within our community and all the training, breeding and hard work all pays off 😍🐾
