This beautiful enrichment is a tribute to the special relationship between bees and flowers which makes life possible for most of our food. I have included lots of wonderful wooden pieces and different types of pasta all knotted at different stages so even if they get a few off not all will come off. This enrichment is for those serious chewers who love to chew.
Bee Happy is a double hang that has two sweet little bees hanging from it with some honeycombs. This is such a sweet double hang enrichment with paper flower cups and paper flowers, itβs like a bit of hanging garden for our mischiefs to enjoy. Thereβs wooden beads, pasta, fruity rings all knotted together for hopefully a good amount of time enjoyment π .
The Bobby Dazzler has 2 cute paper cups that you can either fill with the Ratopia treat mix provided or use your own, we suggest dry feed mix only and try to avoid sticky dried fruit as these are only paper.
They are sent with the card all together so itβs easier to put the treats inside then just simply fan them out when youβre done. These are designed to be a temporary treat enrichment so they will only get one to two uses out of them depending on how eager your fur mischiefs are. Every care has been taken to ensure every mischief has an engaging fun time.
Dragonfly charms are sweet enrichment that have three hanging origami dragonflies made from a light weight paper hung with cotton string with a series of knots in different places interspersed with paper straws pasta and wooden beads and fruity rings to create a fun chewy challenge for our mischiefs.
These are only $3.00 so they are also gentle on our budgets too! And donβt worry fellas they arenβt all pink there are five different colours that get randomly selected for the dragonflyβs.

, itβs a hard life being a queen bee she loves resting in her new margarine pot..
p.s. the brown reddish stuff on her is just antibiotics in the last pics, she refuses to eat what ever I put it in so she wears it instead and gets lots of love afterwards she is fine and doing well her RI is almost cleared up.

A friendly reminder to you all that it is pancake rat season in Queensland (and the Southern Hemisphere) so let's share some ideas on keeping our young and beloved ratties cool !
We will go first:
- Frozen tins wrapped in cloth (to protect little tongues)
- Tiles left in the freezer overnight as a cool place to rest.
- Cooling trays (pictured) suspended from the roof (bonus points as it provides balance enrichment)
- Clean single layer hammocks to rest on.
- Ice cubes in a tray with a little water to play with/in.
- pea/frozen food fishing
What else do you do?
Remember! If you have aircon or fans in place, don't blow them directly on the cage, the ratties need ways to get out of direct wind for respiratory health.

The holidays are coming up real quick which means only one thing..... photoshoots in silly hats! It's not my favourite activity in the world but I tolerate it only because it makes my foster human happy and I get compensated with yogies. It's the least I can do really, I mean my foster human medicates me (even though it's yucky liquid stuff) to make me feel better and gives me a really nice place to live in.
Please know that not all rattos are as tolerant as me when it comes to wearing silly little hats, so don't force it, some rattos are just camera shy and don't understand the concept of hats!
