This one brought up a lot of emotions! Last night at 10:30pm Jerriewah gave birth to her final foal and the last foal to ever be born sired by Acres Zsa Zsa. Jerrie has been a part of our family for 14 years. In 2012 she was the first mare we ever bred to Acres Zsa Zsa, enter Galcodi Demon. 2024 saw her deliver the end of an era! Welcome to the world, Galcodi Hold My Halo. Jerrie is now in her 20’s and is officially retired from my broodmare band. You guys went out with a bang! This one’s pretty special 💔

All of our mares here at Galcodi are dual purpose, unless retired due to injury. Bushgrove Gold Chant is one of those mares and after having a foal in 2022 she stepped out and competed in her first campdraft this month. She took to the competition scene like an old hand, making the maiden final in her first ever run, just shy of a placing. We couldn’t be prouder of this mare and we look forward to continuing her ridden career before we breed her again.

It’s about time I did some updates on our last lot of foals by Acres Zsa Zsa. This lovely filly is being retained by Galcodi Performance Horses. She’s a big strong filly and we are very grateful to have been given the opportunity to lease her dam, Penta Midnight Summer Beam.

🕊💙 Acres Zsa Zsa 💙🕊
He changed our lives in more ways than anyone could imagine. In 2012 he became my biggest, yet most rewarding challenge. He taught me a world of knowledge and became my greatest success. A day we hoped would never come but knew was inevitable when Zsa was devastatingly diagnosed with cancer a couple of years ago. On Tuesday 8th of October, Acres Zsa Zsa was peacefully laid to rest in his favourite paddock, watching over his mares. Sadly it brings an end to an incredible journey in our lives. His death leaves a heartache only time will heal but his life was an absolute blessing to us all! He’s left behind a legacy in his progeny and we ask everyone who's lucky enough to own a Zsa baby to treasure them a little more tonight. Rest easy big fella and thank you for an incredible journey, it’s been one hell of a great ride 💔

Midwave Indrell was the second mare to foal on the 27th, at 4am. This mare had a very successful career competing all over Australia as a top level polo mare before she retired here as our newest broodmare. She safely delivered a bay filly by Acres Zsa Zsa, we are looking forward to watching this one unfold. EOI are welcome

Our mares are enjoying doing things in pairs this year, another two foals born early this morning here at Galcodi. At 3:10am Blue Boon Freckles foaled a stunning big bay/bay roan c**t by Acres Zsa Zsa. EOI welcome, available upon weaning.

Yesterday was a busy day at Galcodi Performance Horses!
1:30am saw Penta Midnight Summer Beam, a beautiful ASH mare we are lucky enough to have on lease, birth a big healthy filly by Acres Zsa Zsa.

Ashborns Style and Grace, not to be out done delivered a striking bay c**t at 8:30pm also by Acres Zsa Zsa. Will be available upon weaning, EOI welcome.

Our beautiful mare, Jerriewah returned home today! Mares like this don’t come along often and we are privileged to have her as part of our team. Jerrie has spent the last 6 months as a foster mare. She raised her 2023 c**t, weaned and a week later left to foster a beautiful filly in need of a mum. Not only has she been a complete champion under saddle but she has successfully raised 5 foals of her own and 2 foster foals throughout the years. Jerrie is due to foal in November to Acres Zsa Zsa.

Harper entered the world on 12/08/2024, making sure she gave us just enough time to get settled into our new lives before foaling begins!

The old boy got dusted off and taken out for a quiet trail ride a few weeks ago! His temperament really is unbeatable.

We have 5 foals due by him this season, the first is due in August! EOI on all foals are welcome.

This beautiful filly by Green Gully Rolex has recently finished being started under saddle at Galcodi Performance Horses and she has been an absolute pleasure! we look forward to seeing her on the campdraft circuit in years to come!

🌹Alamarra Rose🌹

Our beautiful golden girl was peacefully laid to rest yesterday. She never got the chance to really hit the competition circuit but she did a lovely job raising her 2023 foal, “Galcodi Rose Thorn”. She was an exceptionally quite mare who so many have had the privilege of riding. Rest easy and pain free big girl ❤️

It’s always great to see the babies we have bred fitting in with their new families so well. Galcodi Raiden left us for his new home recently and we could not be happier! He has gone to an amazing family and we wish them all the very best!

No one likes the quiet life around here …. So before life gets crazy busy with foaling, we have welcomed our last litter of 7 JR pups from Addie and Rocky.

Thanks to Lucindale Campdraft for a great few days!
We have only made the one draft this season with life being so busy. Galcodi Demon never letting the team down, coming home with =6 in the Sunday Open. Thank you to the committee, all the cattle donors and sponsors!
