Don’t forget we are back tomorrow!
Come along at 9am and catch up with your people and dog friends while getting back into training!

Please attend the class level you where you were at the end of last year. Promotion assessments will be conducted tomorrow to see if you are ready to go up.

A few reminders:
- regardless of the weather we have a closed in shoes policy on grounds
- please pick up after your dog
- please do not let your dog approach other dogs without asking the owner first especially if they are tethered
- regarding promotions ….If you don’t try you won’t know and if you don’t get promoted it’ll give you important feedback on where to focus first the year (please note assessments are only for upper green and above)
- if you do not feel comfortable at the level you are currently sitting you can drop back to practice and gain your confidence back. You just can’t go forward, and please do not participate in that level’s promotion assessment

Looking forward to seeing you all!

Ps. If you are keen to us take some photos for the day that would be amazing as Sammy and I would love to get more training time in this year if you send me a message or comment below that would be great

Good luck if you are competing this weekend!

Our first ever Sprint Dog event is on this afternoon!!
Want to come check it out? The action starts at 3.15pm - spectators are welcome all we ask is you leave your dogs at home

🐾🏃🐩SprintDog™ is a the latest sport to be approved at DOGS NSW.

It is a thrilling and inclusive sport where dogs of all breeds and sizes race over 100 meters. Whether chasing a lure or recalling to their handler, dogs are timed, and their speed is converted into points based on height handicaps.

The goal is to improve individual performance rather than compete against other dogs. And just to keep things interesting, you have to say 'Tally Ho!' when you start... sounds worth a try just for that :-)

To participate, dogs must be over 12 months old and registered with Dogs Australia. Training sessions are available to help dogs become familiar with the rules and increase their performance. For more details, visit the website: https://dogsnsw.org.au/events/sprintdog/

Our trusty helpers carried on today with Geoff C and Sam C working on the cupboards and in the canteen in the clubhouse, Geoff W clearing extensive debris from around the grounds. While Wayne G worked with our electrician plus edged and whipper snipped the grounds. All this work will help the grounds be s***k and span for our Sprintdog event on Sunday afternoon. Don’t forget toilet painting starts tomorrow the toilets over at the CNCC building will be available for use. Thank you guys - you are the best!

Our next beginners entry is February 2nd - come join us

Interested in joining our next beginners intake?

We accept a new intake on the first Sunday of every month so it’s coming up soon…

What do I need to do? Go onto our website and register you and your dog online and then come along to the Sunday 2nd February and you’ll be ready to start the exciting journey of learning new skills and basic obedience with your dog. You can also sign up in person on any Sunday other than the 1st weekend.

How much does it cost? It costs $30 to join as a member and then $5 a week. The initial course is 8 weeks and you can keep going and learn lots of wonderful skills and dog sports.

Why so cheap? Our club is run completely by volunteers and is not-for-profit. All of our volunteers instructors are trained and have substantial experience with training dogs. Our aim is to create a bond between you and your dog so you and your dog have the best chance of leading a happy life together!

How old does my dog need to be? Any dog over 4 months can come along provided they have completed all of their vaccinations. Proof of vaccination must be provided before you start.

My dog is older can they still join? Absolutely! We accept all ages and don’t believe the myth that you can’t teach old dogs new tricks - every dog at every age loves to learn new things!

So if you have been thinking you and your dog might benefit from some additional training - and let’s be honest with ourselves every dog and their owner can always benefit from more training- follow the link below and come join us on the 2nd!

Feel free to send us a message if you have any questions 😊

Ps. If website link brings up a black screen just scroll down and it will show up 😊

New Members start on the FIRST Sunday of every month and must have completed the membership registration prior to starting.
