⚠️⚠️WE ARE TAKING A BREAK....⚠️⚠️

During a bike run on Thursday, I was thrown off my bike and have a broken shoulder, broken collar bone & fractured arm.

Some bookings we can continue with but some we've had to cancel.

All dog walking and training is cancelled.
Pet / house visits are OK
Some dog sitting OK to proceed, we will contact everyone we need to cancel
Dog grooming is cancelled
Doggy Daycare not available for another 10 weeks

We are especially sorry to Dawn Quintal who was expecting to drop Xander off yesterday. We are so happy she's found a replacement and hope Xander enjoys it too. And we are greatful to Chris Webb whose dog we had at the time of the accident. She's been very understanding.

Looking forward to healing and Getting back into it.

MEET CHESS
A 3 year old short hair domestic pussy-cat

I am visiting him in his home in Melton for the next 2 days.

This is him laying on his very own couch in his very own bedroom.
So it goes without saying that he's beyond loved and spoiled.

His owners Jess & Gary said they found him barely alive on the side of the road tied up in a bag when he was barely a month old, there were other bags but those little guys just didnt have the strength to keep going. But CHESS did.

With lots of love and care, they managed to bring this little kitten into a happy healthy adulthood and from one animal lover to another, thank God people like you exist in the world. Karma will no doubt take care of whoever put Chess in the bag!

Chess feels very unsafe outside and spends most of his time inside. He also howls like a dog if he's left alone for too long apparently so they needed someone to stop in and pay him a visit while they stay with their daughter who is in labour with their first Grandchild ❤️❤️❤️ congratulations to the family for the new arrival!!!!

I zoomed right in on this picture I don't think we will be spending much time together as he does have alot of anxiety around new people but at least he didn't run off !

When I picked up Ivy she played with her basketball so I said after our walk we can go past My place for some ball throwing fun- She does these laps when she first arrives sometimes 6 or 7 times its so funny she gets so excited to come play with me off leash.

ITS TIME TO TALK LAWS, REGULATIONS & RULES AROUND PET SITTING

RESI, a Facebook contact messaged me last night concerned that I am not abiding by the laws because I don't have a license that doesn't exist.

When she found out she was wrong she left the conversation immediately and blocked me. So for you Resi and all the other keyboard warriors out there keeping us small business owners on our toes .........

✅I have over 20 years experience handling dogs
️✅I've completed canine & feline psychology & behaviour training courses
️✅I've completed a course in animal care as well as pet first aid & CPR
️✅I have a permit issued by local council to keep 2 or more dogs on my property
✅️My business is registered and has a current valid ABN
✅️I have public liability insurance up to $50,000
✅️I provide adequate food, water, warmth and shelter
️✅I am all over the industries code of practice and abide by it at every opportunity
️✅️I ensure owners meet their obligations as set out by local council
️✅️I have a fully secure yard with CCTV covering the entire property
✅️Our fences have been secured with additional barbed wire
✅️We have built bricks into the bottom of the fences to prevent digging
✅️We have sprayers on the opposite side of our fence to prevent foxes
✅️We attach a GPS location device to every dog that stays with us for the entire duration of their stay so if they pull a Houdini on me, I can track them live. We pay $700 a year to maintain the 4 tags we own and haven't needed to use them yet but the peace of mind alone is worth it
✅️I do not walk dogs I physically am not able to control but will ensure they get plenty of exercise in the yard
✅️I always carry a bag with me on all walks containing air horn, high frequency noise simulator, whistle, basic pet first aid kit, and choke collar so I'm as prepared as I can be for most anticipated emergency situations
✅️I have access to a 24/7 vet and have used them before when a pet in my care has gotten sick and I've stayed with them at the vet all night. I handle these situations the same as you would, the care factor is no different from yours I promise you.
✅️We do not have plants that are toxic to dogs.
✅️We perform p**p scoop everyday and keep the lawn free from rubbish
✅️We do not leave dogs alone together and we only doggy daycare dogs that we've looked after before and know what personality and traits they have and match dogs accordingly. Their safety is our number one priority.
✅️We are very careful and cautious when it comes to feeding them bones. Chicken necks or any other potential choking hazard are only given under supervision and we do not give them bones if they've been cooked
✅️We allow dogs the basic right of sleeping inside where they're safe & warm
✅️All dogs have a bright NEON fabric piece attached to them with their name clearly printed on it so if they manage to get away during a walk, people know which name to call when trying to approach them. My contact info is Also attached to the dogs collar when we put the location device on them.
✅️Aggressive breeds have muzzle applied during their walk and they're only handled by my fiancee who is very dominant and confident when it comes to large aggressive breeds or unpredictable dogs. We will not book other dogs with aggressive large breeds.
NO PET SITTER WANTS A PET TO FALL ILL UNDER THEIR CARE but it does happen from time to time. I handle it the same as if it were my pet. Providing the client has authorised me to do so I won't hesitate taking them to the vet in the middle of the night and I won't leave until they're coming home with me unless there's a serious issue and they'll be admitted for overnight care. I will take comforts with me too so when they feel scared Or anxious they have something familiar to seek comfort in and I keep the owners informed throughout the entire process.

WE DO WHAT WE DO because we love animals and have discovered that when it comes to training, behaviour and care were actually so good at what we Do. We then heard about anxious dogs that don't cope well with being left by their owners and we wanted to be the positive change that snapped them out of it. We try our best to distract and entertain for hours on end so your dogs don't feel the anxiety they otherwise would. We walk a different route every time because they're super distracted by all the new smells and sights that they're not sad missing you.
And we take alot of pride in that - we feel so much joy when we hear about dogs who've stayed with us hearing my voice on FB and wagging their tails because being here was such a positive and memorable experience for them. I feel like I've found m thing and I'm really very good at it so I devote as much time and energy as I can into growing my business through word of mouth from heaps of happy customers because this for me is what I want to spend my days doing. I want to excel in training so I'm always learning and expanding my knowledge to reach my potential. I am careful, I'm committed and I'm passionate about animals. I would never do anything that jeopardises their health, safety or happiness I promise you.

The sunshine really brings out the golden colour in Ivy.

We had a longer walk today. An hour and 15 mins. The sunshine was so good !!

When she got home she had the biggest drink and no doubt will laze around getting in some rest ready for another walk tomorrow.
